Host profile image
Eclectic world traveler now taking root in the quiet country of McEwen, TN. I spend my days tending to the garden, taking care of the animals, and dreaming of raising sheep for wool. I hold conscious events on the land and pour my positivity, love and devotion into this space. We have a large wrap around deck we use for yoga and group meals. I was previously a teacher, working in the public education system, and was challenged by the onset of the pandemic to seek a life which I truly enjoy living. And then came the birth of SkallyWag's PlayGround, the name of this property which is now our classroom and all of her visitors are the students. Theres always new projects and life on the land, as well as ample opportunities to sit back, relax, and bond with mother nature.

Why they chose this property

SkallyWag's PlayGround is a place to learn, love, and above all PLAY! You will feel upon arriving the jubilant, positive and peaceful energy of this space, as its tended to with copious amount of LoVe. Feel yourself set back in time, a time in which there were less machines, less things on your to-do list, and just the simplicity of living off the land. Find yourself rowing around our pond, cradling our beloved chickens, building bonfires, and dancing like a wild one. We invite all to be their true, wild self, and leave the hurried-hub-bub of modern life behind, at least for some moments.

What makes this property unique

Compost toilets, access to well water, large pond, babbling creek, access to season fruit and vegetable picking/canning (ale carte), farm fresh eggs (ale carte), large lean to barn with indoor space with kids books and craft supplies (inquire about cost of childcare as property owner is former teacher/current nanny/happy to give you a break and provide entertainment for the tiny ones!)
