Great stay! We had a lovely 2-night stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Breakfast was excellent. Convenient location for exploring Dover / Dover Castle and on-site parking was great. Would stay here again!
Great stay above a local pub. Included full English breakfast. Everyone was super friendly and room was very clean and updated. Would recommend as a place to stay very close to Dover
Perfect place for a stopover before the ferry, room was exceptionally clean and comfortable with everything we needed.Host went out of her way to make us feel welcome and comfortable, and fed us well.Would definitely recommend this to others, and will certainly return.
Beautiful quaint pub, lovely cozy room, good breakfast with hot drinks or cold drinks. Friendly staff very obliging and helpful. Fresh towels, and tea and coffee for you on the room. Would highly recomend and if in that area again we would stay here.
It was lovely. We were lucky enough to have a brand new mattress. The room was great and the shower was wonderful. The staff was friendly and helpful. The foodwas delicious!
Very nice breakfast with great coffee in the morning! Overall a nice night’s stay and convenient to Dover White Cliffs and Castle and short walk to Kearnsey Abbey Gardens.
Lovely place to stay, Heidi was fabulous showed us around and gave ideas of places to visit. The room was lovely and comfy
We had a lovely time and would recommend
My husband wanted to see the White Cliffs of Dover. The other hotel that we previously booked had to cancel for appropriate reasons. This was booked last minute. The lady who checked us in was very helpful. The room very comfortable. The room pictures with bathroom were spot on and very lovely.
We enjoyed our stay. The room was neat and comfortable and the staff was friendly and welcoming. And we enjoyed the delicious breakfast in the morning! We have given four instead of five stars because there was a private part at the pub that night, which hindered our dinner options greatly and music we could hear clearly in our room playing late into the evening. The location of the inn was not near by any other options for dinner, so that was a bit unfortunate.
This room is above a nice pub. It is clean, the bed us comfortable, and it has a private full bath. The food at the pub is good, workers were all courteous and friendly. Free breakfast was included.
Only 10 minutes from Cliffs of Dover. Easy to get to and from the pub/hotel. We would stay here again and would recommend. There are stairs, so if you have difficulty with them, you may not want to consider. Otherwise it was great staying here!
Our only (small) glitch was that our room number wasn’t on our reservation, so access was impeded slightly (the barmaid was able to tell us). This property is not suitable for people wit mobility issues, but otherwise lovely. The rooms have been modernized nicely.
I thought I could walk from the train station to the room with my big suitcase-1/2 mile "easy-peasy". NOT! Sidewalks are uneven, sometimes non-existent! Roads were narrow, not safe to walk on. So-get a taxi unless you have little gear.
Now, once there, the Pub is quaint, charming and welcoming. My room was smaller than I expected, but I did not need huge. Old brick & beam wall was comfortable. Stairs going up to rooms are narrow, original to old building. No TV. Bath narrow, adequate. Peaceful night sleep.
The pub had great food, was busy with lots of locals. Host and chef very friendly and accommodating. Nice patios for outside dining. Pet friendly.
Full breakfast included. Perfect to start the day. And I got a taxi to take me back to the train station!
