Mark & Leticia Walpole are your live-in hosts ensuring an Authentic B&B experience. Leticia is a retired Army Officer with over 35 years of active service. They have 5 grown children who all swam competitively while receiving college scholarships.

Why they chose this property

The Walpole Cabin is a three-story authentic log home with two rustic guest rooms on the top floor, each with its own crow's nest view Medina Lake and tree-top hill country. We welcome you to enjoy our multiple living areas, our Western-themed bar, and our peaceful environment surrounded by untouched nature. Our separate game room boasts a pool table, video games, and game table (including poker). We offer complimentary (The real deal) hot breakfast every morning.

What makes this property unique

Why stay in a boring hotel room?

We are located only three miles from the lake marina and boat ramp making us the perfect place to stay the night before setting out for a day on the water. Our unique location also makes us easily accessible to The Alamo, Six Flags, SeaWorld and Downtown San Antonio, all within an hour. Nearby is the 4-Way Stop Bar and Grill which offers juicy burgers and great outdoor shows. Bandera, the cowboy capital of the world, offers many quaint shops and restaurants and is only a 30-minute scenic drive away. Of course, don’t forget to check Bandera’s event calendar for parades, rodeos, line dancing and other cowboy activities!
