In the heart of the Astarac region in the Gers, we rent out part of our authentic Gascon house, which has been restored in the traditional style using eco-friendly materials. This large house is divided into two sections: our living quarters on one side and the guesthouse on the other.
Description: A large living area, fireplace, 2 living rooms, fully equipped kitchen, and a terrace with views of the valleys and the lake. Upstairs, there are 3 bedrooms—1 with an en suite shower room and the other 2 sharing a bathroom.
Located in the heart of the countryside, our cosy Gascon-style home welcomes you to an idyllic setting where the surroundings invite contemplation.
Wi-Fi available, but no TV or light pollution; views of the countryside, the Pyrenees, and the starry night sky.
On the Way of St. James, halfway between the village of Montesquiou, Castelnau, which opens onto the Pyrenees, and Mirande, a 13th-century bastide, you’ll find yourself at the heart of all the summer attractions as well as the festivals— Jazz in Marciac, Tempo Latino, and Country in Mirande. Cultural excursions, recreational centers, hiking, horseback riding, and biking trails, farm tours and local products—not to mention the nearby restaurants and their famous Gers cuisine.
If you’re feeling adventurous, the Pyrenees are 1 hour and 15 minutes away, and the ocean is 2 hours away. Otherwise, for relaxation and leisure, the house is ideal—cool during the hottest days and very cosy for fall and winter evenings by the fireplace...
