A destination home in every sense, this spacious lodge in Newry enjoys unforgettable sunset views over the slopes of Sunday River Resort. With waterfalls and tranquil streams within walking distance, and gorgeous ski runs and hiking trails within a short and scenic drive, this home will ensure that you relax, reconnect with loved ones, and return to nature in the purest of Maine settings.

There's no end to the year-round activities awaiting in the area - snowmobile trails that intersect with this road, Sunday River Resort only 10 miles southwest, golfing nearby, and guided excursions for canoeing, fly fishing, whitewater rafting, and dog-sledding nearby. As such, this home is uniquely positioned for relaxation afterwards, offering its very own sauna, a seven-person Hot Springs hot tub, a billiard room, and a deck that spans the length of the house with majestic sunset views of the mountains. These are especially stunning in fall with splashes of colorful foliage!

The Great Room is a beautifully lit space, with windows that reach up toward the ceiling, glass doors that lead outside to the deck, and a wood-burning stove/fireplace to toast your toes as you watch Netflix or DirecTV. (There are four smart TVs in total.) The adjacent dining room has ample space to enjoy family meals and nightly board games. Added perks include outdoor games like corn hole, bocce ball, and a variety of indoor/board games.

In the kitchen, you'll find stainless steel appliances, a center prep island, and plentiful space to store your groceries and favorite provisions. A gas grill is also on hand to assist with summertime barbecues. When you want to gather for meals, the dining table can extend to accommodate large groups with ease.

Cap your days with afternoon games of bocce and stories and s'mores around the firepit before retiring to one of the five bedrooms. There are two primary suites - one on the first floor and one on the second floor. The other three bedrooms are split between the first floor, the second floor, and the daylight basement level. Air-conditioning is provided on the main and upper levels (the basement remains cool in the warmer months). The loft provides two daybeds as well.

Great place!
This is our second time booking this place. It’s a cozy home with lots of space for 14 guests. Love the fireplace and views from outside. The house has plenty amenities to keep everyone entertained.

Clean, spacious and easy house for big group
We had a great time at this house. Very clean and bedrooms allowed all to fit in comfortably. Note that one of the queen beds is in basement which isn't ideal but it was fine. Two living areas -- one in basement with darts and pool table and one upstairs with TV and couches. It worked for us and would recommend for a large gathering.

Perfect stay!
We had a wonderful stay at the Maine Glades. The home was beautifully decorated with plenty of room for our party of 10. The views over the mountains towards Sunday River are glorious; whether you are inside the property by the fire, or outside in the hot tub. The location is ideal to local towns for dinner options but with a well stocked kitchen, it's hard to leave the peace and tranquility. We would definitely come back any season of the year to enjoy this gorgeous home.

A Gem!
We had the pleasure of staying at The Maine Glades for a reunion weekend (5 couples), and couldn't have asked for a better experience. This immaculate home is beautifully decorated, spacious, and very well appointed. We enjoyed time in the hot tub and sauna, shot pool/darts in the game room, played card games around the large table, and took in the gorgeous views from the large deck. The bedrooms were spacious and quiet, and every guest in our group commented on how comfortable the beds and linens were. We spent a fun day at the River Fest at Sunday River (short drive from the property), enjoyed a couple of local hikes to see waterfalls, and had a delicious dinner at a local eatery in Bethel. This house has everything you could want and more! We can't wait to come back for a ski weekend with our children and extended family!
