You will also find a relaxing spa, an inviting waterfront marina, one of Florida’s first lighthouses, family friendly parks, grocery stores and local hangouts that provide live music for your entertainment. All of this you can have within a block and a half of this vacation home.

This paradise escape home is distinctively furnished with beautiful tiled floors and stainless steel appliances. It includes 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, living room, den with pull out bed, updated kitchen, and dining room. It is fully stocked with kitchen utensils, small appliances, towels, sheets, flat screen TVs, cable, internet, Wi-Fi, and a washer and dryer. It also has a large backyard that includes a front porch to relax, a back porch and grill for family gatherings and plenty of private parking space for your vehicles and boat.

Perfect home, great location!!

We stayed at Anchors Away for a fishing trip. The house was clean, nicely decorated, comfortable beds & most importantly the air conditioning was nice and cold. :) There was plenty of space to move around without being on top of each other for our party of 6. You can't tell from the pictures but the room with the smaller futon has a door making this more of a 4 bedroom home versus the 3 we were expecting, so our teen opted to sleep in there. Lots of board games for rainy days and there was cable in every room. We didn't have any small children in our group but I did see that the home had a toddler bed with side rails and a high chair for familes traveling with small children. Plenty of parking for us and the boat and even had an area to clean the fish out back. We loved everything about this home.

Better than expected

We went to Port St Joe for fishing. The house was very nice and extremely clean. A big bonus was the covered boat shed and fish cleaning station. The house was well stocked, plenty of garbage bags, full bars of soap and the appliances were very nice.

Awesome Stay!

The home was well decorated, Clean, and inviting. The location was great and was within walking distance to downtown area and just a short drive to the beach. We will definitely stay again.

About the host

Our family reside approximately 1 hour from Port St. Joe (PSJ) and we consider this area our home away from home. Our family has been going to Port St. Joe since 2004 and have delighted in watching our children grow up and thoroughly enjoy themselves while on mini vacations. With Port St. Joe being so close our family tries to visit at least 3 times a month and spend long weekends in the area. We have found the area to be very quite and peaceful. This gives us time to relax after working hard during the week. We will take our boat out and fish as much as we can and enjoy the peacefulness of St. Joe Bay and the surrounding area.

Why they chose this property

We purchased and renovated this house because it was in a great location to the amenities of PSJ and to give other families the opportunity to experience the fond memories our family has been able to experience in PSJ. Our family has done what most others do and rent a place to have a peaceful getaway. When we realized we loved the area and its unique charm, we decided it was time to start planting roots and giving the same opportunity to others like we have experienced. After you have visited for the first time you will understand why we fell in love with this area.
