About this property
Sunset Hills1600 sq. ft. lower-level apt.<br>(3 bedrooms, 2 king beds)
Sunset Hills 1600 square foot lower level Suite is country living at its best, and only 10 minutes from Nampa. The unit is located on the South side of Lake Lowell. The daylight basement space is tucked away on a private 2 acre lot, with picturesque views of the valley, Lake Lowell and our spectacular Idaho sunsets. Large windows and the 6’ sliding door keeps the space light and bright. You’ll enjoy the park-like grounds and also find that a walk through our Lakeview Estates subdivision is a perfect way to begin or end your day.
The space (Wheelchair accessibility is difficult due to space being on lower level and has 10 steps to access apt.) With 1600 square feet you’ll have plenty of room to move around, curl up and read a book, watch tv or just sit and relax by the electric fireplace. A game of pool, ping pong or foosball might also be fun! The space is nearly soundproof to the upper living area, so we encourage people to enjoy the space! We added the pool and foosball table to be USED, so play hard, laugh, and just have a good time while here. There is SO much room to spread out and have fun, just don't be afraid to do so!! As empty nesters, we enjoy hearing a little activity. The kitchen includes all the essentials needed to prepare a meal and plenty of seating in common areas and on the patio to enjoy your meal. Appliances include full size refrigerator with ice maker, electric stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, Keurig and regular coffee maker, crock pot, air fryer, electric frypan, pancake mix and syrup, along with many of your common spices, oil, Pam and an unually large amount of condiments. If we don't have it there, ask. I'll do my best to help you out. Garbage is located by parking. The laundry room is located on the other side of the locked door that leads upstairs. (Laundry soap and dryer sheets are supplied). As the washer and dryer are also used to do laundry from the previous guests, we ask that you give us until the second day of your stay to finish and tidy up the laundry for you. Just text us ahead and we will make it accessible to you. The space includes 3 bedrooms. King beds in two rooms and a queen in the third. Each bedroom has a dressing table/ computer workspace. Two of the rooms have large windows that face the valley and one bedroom has a view of Lake Lowell. A pac n play and high chair is located in the third bedroom closet next to the kitchen, along with linens for the pac n play. We also have an air mattress for use with larger groups. Let us know if you'll be using it and we will supply the linens. On your private outdoor patio you’ll find extra outdoor seating and a porch swing to enjoy the sights and sounds of the country. Early mornings and between 3 and 4 pm you might find our resident bunny(s) wandering the grounds and a dozen or so quail.
Guest access Guest parking for up to 3 vehicles back to back is located to the right of the garage. Please pull up to the end of the blacktop alongside garage. ( No parking is allowed in the street.) From there you will find outside steps leading to the lower level patio door. Your key is found in the lockbox to the left of the door. The combination to the lock box will be sent to you along with all other instructions a week or so prior to your arrival. Upon request, we can make ourselves available to help with luggage.
Other things to note: If more blankets are needed, just ask, I have plenty. In the common space you will find a door that leads to the upper level. We have installed locks on both sides of the door. Please lock your side when arriving. No access is allowed beyond this point other than using the laundry. Please lock your side when you arrive. We have a large yard, so at times you may see us doing grounds work, but in order to give you your privacy, we try to complete projects while you’re out. We truly love our little piece of Idaho and hope you will too!

This was our first VRBO experience and we were not disappointed! Amazing accommodations, beautiful views, and generous hosts! If you are ever in this area, this home is a must stay!! Very clean and spacious. Thanks Lucy!!
This was absolutely an amazing stay. My girlfriend and I enjoyed the sunset on the patio with all the luxury amenities this property has to offer, what a bargain! Will definitely be staying again.
We stayed for a long weekend to explore hot springs and Leslie Gulch, and this was the closest we could find. It turned out to be a great choice - the place has plenty of room for nightowls and earlybirds to not get on each other's nerves, a wonderfully equipped kitchen, and a beautiful view. Stay, relax, play some pool or foosball.
A very comfortable home with a beautiful view. The host were easy to communicate with and made our stay wonderful. We'd recommend this rental and hope to return again.
Good communication with owner before, during, and after our stay. Location was very clean and located in quiet country. Great view of lake Lowell from the house, could hear lots of birds and bunny came to visit one day.
We attended a wedding at the Lakeside Barn - This house was a terrific place to stay, as it’s literally a 2 min drive. Wonderful house - Everything you need, and super clean. Great communication w/ owners as well.
From the moment we stepped into the hillside unit, we felt welcomed and relaxed. Fresh muffins were waiting for us after a long trip, along with notes on the unit and nearby attractions. The unit was clean and was stocked with all you would need on a trip. Would definitely be back to visit here again!
Absolutely excellent stay. Spacious, clean and well appointed. Excellent for couples or families. The host is wonderful ... really takes pride in making sure her guests are comfortable. And a great view to boot. We will definitely stay again if she will have us.
We recommend highly!
So clean - so homey- beautifully decorated.
So family friendly. Lucy thinks of everything you’ll need to make your stay so stress free and comfortable.
The kids LOVED The play area - entertained them for hours!!!!
We will definitely come back to stay.
Lucy and Larry were amazing hosts and made sure all of our needs were met. She was so attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. We stayed in their cute home for six weeks waiting for our home to be completed. We would highly recommend the place to anyone and the gorgeous sunsets were a great bonus.
We were looking for somewhere peaceful, welcoming and homey after a long camping trip and several hours on the road. This fit the bill perfectly. The setup is great for teenagers with quiet places for parents.
We rented the home to enjoy Christmas with family. It was wonderful to have everything we needed. She even decorated with a Chrisas tree. We plan to return.
The whole vrbo was fantastic! Lucy and Larry were wonderful hosts and made sure they communicated with us during our two day stay to see if we needed anything. They welcomed us with muffins and water which was a nice added touch. Check in and check out was seamless. Even though we were in the basement, it did not feel like one due to the walk out onto a patio. The color scheme and decor were fresh and inviting. Loved the pool table and even won a few games against my husband :)The vrbo was very close to the wedding venue we were attending and their suggested restaurant, the Tower Grill had great food and was a great experience. Their cinnamon rolls are a must!!!We would definitely stay here again!Thank you,Ed and Di - Helena, MT
Everything was wonderful! Our Host, Lucy, was delightful! The space is everything it was advertised as! So much room for entertaining our adult children for an early holiday! Great space for cooking too! And the bed was VERY comfy! We will be back again for sure!

Truly gracious hosts! Everything that we could need was there. Waffle maker and she even provided eggs and oil. TV worked great. We played pool, we played foosball and We played chess! Perfectly located for a wedding at the barn as well as driving into Boise for dinner and entertainment. Thank you for a wonderful day.
We stayed here on a road trip with our family of 5, including our 3 young kids and it was perfect! The kids loved playing in the little play area and my husband and I enjoyed the pool table. The owner has everything you need for your stay and is readily available if you need anything. While it wasn't an issue for us, it's worth knowing that access to the space is down several steps, which may be a challenge for some. Once inside, everything is on an even level, which was great for our 1 year to run around on!
We stayed for a family wedding at the Lake Side Barn just down the hill. My daughters (who are 3 years old & 18 months) had a blast with the play kitchen, strollers & cars. They also enjoyed all the animals we saw on our walk around the neighborhood!
Some vacation rentals have a lot of nicknacks that need to be moved when staying in a place with toddlers. This place was very clean & uncluttered! I had no concerns about them playing on the floor.
Lucy was a wonderful host! She said she enjoyed hearing our kids playing! She made some helpful suggestions for our family!
We were 3 sisters in our 60's in the area from various places to visit family, and wanted a comfortable place in the country to catch up and this fit the bill.
The lower level apartment was warm and clean, plenty of towels and hot water. Coffee fixings were provided which was a nice plus. The beds were comfortable which is unusual for VRBOs, normally these places have the hardest thread bare mattresses.
We enjoyed using the pool table, and were able to watch movies. Had weather been more cooperative we would have been out wandering the neighborhood.
There were quail, northern harriers and various water fowl flying through the area, and were able to see the refuge from our apartment. I suspect that this place is awash in wildlife in the spring and summer months.
I have been to a lot of these stays. This was by far the best stay yet! It was so cozy, beautifully decorated with all the things we needed. We really enjoyed the pool table and all the selection of games. The hosts were the highlight of the trip! Made fresh baked goods, and always checking in with us and gave us great ideas to do in town they are Sweet people! We will definitely stay again. Idaho is beautiful.
