this is our second visit to this wonderful place and it was just as great as our first!! Great accommodations, check in and scenery! we love the peace, quiet and amazing trees!!!
We hope to come back again next year!!
Our family enjoyed staying at the house as much as exploring the area. We canceled a local river canoe outing to spend our last day on the lake at the house. I could easily make this a yearly trip!
Great place for our family to gather to celebrate the holiday. Plenty of space for everyone. All the cooking facilities we needed. Beautiful property!

We are happy to hear you and your family enjoyed the River Road Retreat during your Thanksgiving stay. Thank you for taking good care of the property and we hope to have you back again in the future!
We recently spent a week with our family enjoying the north woods. This place was a very private and sprawling property with plenty of space for our teenagers. I would highly recommend this property and we are already discussing our next stay.
Ideal set up for a vacation with another family. Great location in the north woods of WI. Plenty of privacy. Beautiful sand waterfront. An enjoyable place for a week away!

Very enjoyable and comfortable spacious log house with direct access to the lake. On top of that, a great ping pong table in a dedicated room. Grandparents, parents, and kids had a good time.

We had a great time at the River Road Retreat! It was great to have the 20 acres of privacy. The cabin is huge and had all the amenities we could ask for. We really enjoyed our time out in the pontoon we rented on the lake. Great place would definitely go back.

We loved this house. Great amenities. It's so private, it feels like your own retreat center. Sleeping eight would be tight, but lots of space otherwise.
The lake is a great size and not very busy.

Thanks for your wonderful review! We hope you stay again.
Our family stayed here for a week in late July. Cabin is very large with enough space for everyone to do their thing and not get in each others way. Lake was beautiful with a sandy bottom. Highly recommend using the kiyaks to check out the channel between middle and lower Eau Claire lake. We enjoyed our stay.
The cabin is spacious and has a variety of activities to entertain old and young. The dock is perfect for little fishermen in training:). All the amenities you need are there to make it even less of a headache for packing. Would certainly stay again! If you need a place to reconnect with family and enjoy a bit of peace and quiet this is the place!
I rented the cabin so that my family and I could get a chance to get together and spend a week up north. The accommodations were as advertised and the scenery didn’t disappoint. The host was very punctual in communicating and much appreciated.
We really enjoyed our stay and our only wish was that we could extend our time there.
Please with our stay. Probably a bigger place than needed for a family of four! Great lake to kayak and paddleboard - very calm, and lots of inlets and pathways to the other lakes. Laura was very responsive, and house was well-equipped with all the basic supplies needed for the week.
We loved our winter getaway to the Northwoods. The house was lovely, close to hiking, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing trails. Laura was fabulous at answering my questions. We would definitely consider coming in the summer and in the winter again too.

Thanks for staying with us and the review! We hope you book again next year.
We had 6 adult men and all slept comfortably (albeit 1 on a couch). Several different places to gather for conversation, games, etc. allowed us to spread out and still stay connected. Communication with the property manager was always very timely, courteous, and accurate.

Spacious and beautiful home. Fantastic in the winter, can’t imagine how nice it would be in the summer. Owner was always available for questions, easy to work with, and very nice. She even shipped some things back to us that we had forgotten. 5 stars all the way around!
