GENE L KUHNS built this home 40 years ago. Gene was a Forest Ranger and brought his love of nature into the property by keeping much of it wild. He has built up a colony of Martins (swallows) through out the years and they arrive in April and leave in August. Gene has been coming to Lake Winneconne for many years and has knowledge of the history of the area and the other lakes connected to the waterways,. Gene and his wife Anny (deceased) spent many hours enjoying the sunsets over the Lake as have mny friends and relatives in the past. Gene is retired and is now traveling visiting Kids and grandkids in the West but still enjoys coming back to the Lake in tin the summers.
