Please review Manager's Information for cancellation policies prior to booking this home.

At home in nature
Talking Trees Lodge is a four-bedroom family home tucked into a lovely, wooded glen in a quiet Stowe neighborhood. The three floors of this property provide ample space for a group of eight to relax and enjoy all that Stowe has to offer.

From the large wrap-around deck of the lodge, you feel as if you are in a tree house under the canopy of 60' foot pines and old growth maples (who put on a spectacular show in the fall!). It's a popular spot for outdoor dining and relaxing. Below the deck is the hot tub for soaking after a day of fresh-air fun!

The main floor of the home features a wood burning fireplace, cherry wall panels, and a pine plank ceiling. The wood accents create a warm atmosphere in the living room and reading area. Additional amenities include a workstation, a bar with beverage cooler, and a bistro game table for everyone's enjoyment. From every vantage point, there is a vibrant, forested view.

A country kitchen with all new appliances adjoins the open dining room which seats all guests comfortably. The primary queen suite with walk-in closet and en-suite bathroom is found on this main level. Upstairs are two queen bedrooms with a shared bathroom.

The lower level is a popular getaway, especially for kids to escape to their own domain. The draw: a game room with a large screen TV, foosball table, sleeper sofa, additional bathroom, and access to the hot tub. The lower bedroom offers two twin beds. For large or long-term family use, there is a lower-level walk-in pantry with open shelves for additional storage and an additional refrigerator and freezer. Garage storage is offered for ski equipment and outdoor gear only, and there is outdoor parking for four cars.

Great place close to town
Really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean, well stocked and close to town. The house was low on laundry detergent and they got some to us same day. Very friendly staff and check in/check out were a breeze. Water pressure could be better but that's really the only negative.

Great home, as advertised
This home suited all of our family’s need for a great week in Stowe. The beds were very comfortable, ample bathroom space, and the hot tub was great in the evenings. The kitchen is very well stocked with all needs for cooking. Would definitely stay again!

Fabulous Lodge at Stowe
We had a lovely time at the Talking Trees Lodge over July 4th weekend, 2022. It was perfect as a central gathering place for family and extended family when we celebrated birthdays, graduations, and general family time. The lodge was very clean and well appointed: - Kitchen: well-stocked glassware/kitchenware, large selection of pots/pans, sharp knives, openers, rasps, cocktail shakers, mini-fridge. Pantry has the basics (S&P, oil, foil, wrap). Listing suggested only a Keurig + French Press, but there was a Mr Coffee that got heavy usage, along with the tea kettle. Didn’t use the oven, but microwave worked great. Fridge has ice/water in the door. - Bedrooms: beds super comfortable, towels are thick, plush, and plentiful - Bathrooms: well stocked, clean. Shower pressure and hot temp was nice. It’s a septic system, but we had no issues. - Ambience: comfy couches and seating, strong wifi throughout, a Bluetooth speaker. Ceiling fans in every room, washer/dryer. Didn’t use the TV. - Other: hot-tub was well used, propane grill with extra tank, deck was perfect for outdoor entertainment. Books, cards, Foosball, games/puzzles. Didn’t use the fireplace, but plenty of wood. - Location: close to town, but quietly out of the way. A nice little loop (street) for walking. Road is dirt, but hard-packed. 10 mins to grocery store. Lots of outdoor recreation options. Stowe Country Homes was very responsive to all questions, easy check-in/check-out. (Note, you can’t check in until 4pm and have to be out by 10am. We were able to check in by 3:30). This property uses an online guestbook which we found to be highly detailed and very informative. All in all, a really wonderful stay.
