Cape San Blas Cottage - steps to the beach - beach side of Cape

The Dolphin Dance cottage is just a short walk - 30 yards or so - to the sparkling white beach of Florida's Gulf Coast. It sits on the beach side of the road, behind the beachfront properties. Minutes from Port St. Joe, Cape San Blas is quiet and remarkably free of the high-traffic, tourist area crowd. Cape San Blas is a peninsula, so there is no 'thru-traffic' to deal with either. If you are looking for a quiet, family atmosphere near the unspoiled beaches of Florida, Cape San Blas is a must for your summer vacation.

The kitchen has full-size appliances and a dishwasher in the center island. A stackable washer/dryer unit is in the smaller bedroom closet. Roku TV in the living room & Smart TVs in the bedrooms. Wi-fi is included. Bathroom has a walk-in shower stall. Sorry...no boat or trailer parking, but there are marinas nearby. Only one vehicle space available per reservation, no exceptions possible due to limited parking. Due to severe pet allergies, we cannot allow pets. We apologize, but we cannot make exceptions for that either and we do check.

One bedroom has a queen bed, the other has a full size bed and there is a sleeper sofa in the living area. Due to the cottage size, we recommend no more than 4 adults to fit comfortably.

Update: These are closed due to a fire: Conveniently located behind the Tradin' Post, which offers pizza, various hot foods and sandwiches, groceries, toiletries and almost anything you may have forgotten! There is also an ice cream stand and some mornings there is a fresh hot doughnut stand.

You are close enough to the beach to hear the waves, and the walk to the beach is very short. The bathroom and kitchen were both really nice, and the bungalow is very cozy.

This property is in a perfect location on Cape San Blas, just 10 minutes from the State Park boat launch, and offers walkable amenities right down the street for anything you need during your stay. The property easily accommodated four adults, and the owners were fantastic at communicating, as well as being very kind and helpful. I would certainly come back and stay at this property.

HVAC filter was left out of its vent and it was very dirty. Sofa was a piece of junk. Electrical receptacle in green bedroom was not working, Never could get the TVs to work. Board walk had a dangerously loose plank. We left after 2 nights because i had sneezing and wheezing due to apparent dirt, dust and mold in the HVAC.
