Altwarp is a small fishing village, which is located directly on the white beach of the Szczecin Lagoon, making it the northeasternmost fishing village in Germany. Many bike rides (with more than 500 km bike path) or hiking trails are in the immediate vicinity and offer wonderful tours through forests and fields. Embedded into the nature reserve with its inland dunes, the Szczecin Lagoon and the juniper, pine, and oak forests Altwarp the northeastern fishing village in Germany. The beach is located in the middle of town and is ideal for children and non-swimmers due to its slowly deepening water. Explore the beautiful countryside on foot, by bike, or take the car for a few trips. The more you experience in your vacation, the more you can tell it. The nearest large city is, about 15 km away, Ueckermünde with many shops, a beautiful old town, the harbor, the Haffmuseum and numerous cultural events. From or to here there is also a rail connection with bus connection to Altwarp. From Ueckermünder harbor cruises are an experience with shore after Neuwarp, Szczecin and Swinoujscie. You can also rent small boats from here and use them to paddle up and down the Uecker. Other attractions in the region include the Botanical Garden in Christian Berg, the zoo in Ueckermünde and the Ukranenland in Torgelow.
