I gave the property a 4 for cleanliness because the remote controls were quite dirty and sticky, especially the ones on the second floor with the kitchen & dining area. Additionally, the only available cleaning supplies were dish soap, dish washer tabs, and hand soap (no all purpose cleaner for maintaining or checkout). I also did not find a first aid kit, and a few other listed amenities, but nothing we couldn't do without or work around.
Overall, we had a really good experience, and it is a cute and comfortable home with great views, and the place was near perfect for what we needed. The master suite is on the ground floor. It is a lovely room that looks recently renovated. It does get a little chilly, however the space heaters were helpful. The second floor has the best views, and we spent most of our time at the dining table next to the biggest window. The loft is cozy for watching a movie, and has a cute play area for kids. We had a great time, and if this home is available in the future, we will absolutely book here again. We felt safe and cozy, and really enjoyed our visit.
Host was very accommodating when it was needed most!
Otherwise house is a great 3 bedroom for good grandparents/parents/child(ren) set up or otherwise.
Epic views from a cozy place!
We thoroughly enjoyed staying here! The house was great and had everything we needed. The area is beautiful and far enough away from the hustle and bustle to truly relax. It snowed while we were there and my kids had a lot of fun playing in it. We visited Breckenridge (just under an hour away), which was a great scenic drive. We would definitely recommend staying here and look forward to coming back sometime.
We found the property easily and were impressed from the moment we pulled in. Gaining access to the home was very simple. The home was absolutely stunning as was the view! You could immediately tell the home was full of love and joy. We will most definitely be returning to this amazing place!

About the host
Hosted by Jessica Huerd
I grew up in Colorado and have lived throughout the beautiful State. When my husband and I started our family we both desired to get out of the Metro Area and take life at a slower pace. We have lived in and loved our home and the area for four and a half years. Only recently did we move to take care of an elderly family member. We are excited for the opportunity to let guest's enjoy our thoughtfully curated home while were away. We look forward to returning one day.
Why they chose this property
The VIEW! The view is what sealed the deal for my husband Joseph and I to purchase Deer View Valley. We have loved the beauty of the area all four season. Drinking coffee and looking out the windows and watching the deer frolic in the field never gets old. If your lucky enough you can also catch sightings of Indian Mountain's other elusive wild life. We have updated the cabin and done some remodeling over the years to our liking.
What makes this property unique
The solitude of Deer View Valley is something that is unique. Not having light pollution or the sounds of traffic or sirens is incredibly relaxing. At the high elevation ( 9,501 ft) the stars seem to burst from the sky.
