Nice & comfy home!

We stayed for 4 nights (my husband, daughter, and I). The house was perfect for walking into town - which we did daily because my daughter is obsessed with the arcade! The beds were really comfy, and the backyard is far more big and beautiful than the pics show it to be. Just lovely to sit in the evening. House also has equipped kitchen, comfy couch, and nice w/d. Only downside was being right on the road made it a little loud at times, and sitting on the front porch wasn’t relaxing for that reason. But all else so great. Thx for letting us stay!

Sufficient

Our family spent 6 nights here, the bedrooms works out nicely for our two children to sleep in and the yard was a beautiful space to run around and have outdoor dinners. We also enjoyed the outdoor shower. Another bonus was the close proximity to Tom’s (a small grocer where we would frequently grab small bites to eat and some snacks) and we could easily walk into Oak Bluffs and enjoy the area. Beyond that things go a bit downhill just a tad. The house was built in 1900 and it feels like it with super old black and white creepy photos hung and other strange art pieces. Upstairs sink doesn’t have hot water and the main source of lighting throughout the home are lamps with cords and plugs strewn about the rooms. The main couch looks like it used to be an outdoor couch, stained and faded. The utensils in the kitchen seem to match the 1900 era with odds and ends, rusted tongs and whatnot. Overall it worked fine for what we needed and gave us the space necessary. Next visit I’ll look for a different home most likely, still a 4/5 for me which is a win!

Not Really a Fantasy

First the Good: 1 mile from downtown Oak Bluffs; Beautiful side yard; clean house with washer/dryer and dishwasher and decent sized property. Now for the BAD: This house is quite creepy with lots of old lamps scattered about due to a lack of ceiling lights (except for kitchen area). The photos and art on walls were especially creepy. Upstairs sink pipes were rotted causing water to pour out on to the floor. A maintenance person attempted to fix it for 2 days but not successful. Maybe the next renters will fair better with that issue.

Charming house in great location

We loved our stay here! There are tons of windows and natural light. The yard is huge and beautiful, and despite being on a main road, the shrubbery makes it feel private. There is also a nice porch with rocking chairs, which we enjoyed in the evening. It was an easy 10 minute walk into Oak Bluffs.

A nice comfortable house

We found it just as described in the ad, with a pleasant garden and comfortable furnishings. The one downside is that it's on a street with some fast-moving traffic, which might be a worry with young kids. We enjoyed walking into town — it takes just 10 minutes or so to get to the center of Oak Bluffs.
