The Burrow

Awesome property, the owner was very helpful and the hospitality was amazing. If your ever in the Claude area and need a place to stay I highly recommend. We will be staying there every time we go there to visit. The coffee and sandwiches are really good from the coffee shop too!

Beautiful, cozy, feels like home!

This is the second time I have stayed at the Dugout. Both times have been pure perfection! My husband and I were able to go this time for a quick anniversary trip. This meets all expectations and a sweet place to stay. Such a restful weekend!

MAGNIFACENT

This is a jewel of a place to stay! The property is fixed up so cool, a little modern, a little old, and so very Texan. Loved having the outdoor space to relax in. Beds were supper comfortable, and everything a person would need was provided. Claude is truly a Texas town. It was great having quaint shops to poke around and so good seeing the town coming back to life. Tessa & Leslie where wonderful & caring host. Will definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Fun little spot

We stayed here because we were going to Merus for the weekend. It was way better than camping and much more affordable than the "glamping" cabin options. There was plenty of coffee, snacks and waters which we fully appreciated after a couple of days on the trail! They even treated us with coffee from the coffee shop. We didn't mind the open concept and limited privacy, and we welcomed waking up to the smell of breakfast and coffee. It was a fun experience and we'll be back again!

Great stay at the Burrow Dugout

Our family (2 adults and 3 teen/pre-teen boys) had a great stay over spring break. This property is beautifully decorated, plenty of room for five, with easy access to a nice cafe and local grocery in town. The kitchen and appliances are brand new, and made cooking in very easy. Claude is a convenient location to both Palo Duro Canyon State Park and Amarillo. The property owners were super responsive to questions. We would definitely do this again.

Great Place & Great Owners

Worked great for me, wife, and two (grown) girls. Liked being next to “The Burrow” (cafe). Owners very accommodating. Would have rated Excellent except for the train whistle we could hear at night. Just the same, will gladly stay here again.

Why they chose this property

Modern vintage living space - not far from Amarillo, 20 min from Rick Husband International Airport, Palo Duro Canyon viewing area is just down the road and there are lots of other great spots in the Texas Panhandle just a short drive away.

What makes this property unique

Across from the historic Armstrong County Courthouse and Museum and walking distance to our local & very well stocked grocery store. This private space at the back of our coffee shop & bistro is unique. Plus- we can serve you up a great espresso drink at The Burrow Tues- Sat 7a-2pm CST
