Lake June Escape House

Escape the hustle and bustle of life at our beautiful Lake June in Winter home, The Escape House. Nestled on the deep water cove with a huge focus on the outdoor space. We have an expansive dock and boat house with plenty of room to tie up your boat and watercraft. There is an outdoor pavilion with picnic tables and 3 different grilling areas, a sundeck for lounging, and a covered and screened in porch to relax.

Lake June is a sandy bottom, fresh water lake know for boating, skiing, wakeboarding, surfing, fishing, and all types of water activities.

We provide kayaks, paddleboards, life jackets and a place to dock your boat.

Our home is well stocked with towels, beach towels, linens, kitchen supplies.

There are 7 bedrooms, 3 of which have bunk beds for the kids, twin/full. The rest of the bedrooms all have new queen matresses.

There are plenty of bathrooms too!

We have 2 full kitchens and plenty of sitting areas to relax. The home is equipped with 5 smart TVs so you can stream your favorite shows and movies. High speed comcast wifi available for you as well.

In the evenings, when you come off the lake, enjoy some pool, ping ping, and darts in the well equipped game room.

For those of you with an EV, we have a Tesla Wall Charger and a Standard Wall Charger, so no worries finding a place to charge your vehicle!

We really tried to think of it all and provide the perfect escape!

Please note, There are prime weeks during the year where we have a 7 night minimum stay. The balance of the year we have a 3 night minimum stay. If there are dates you are interested in taking and would like to request an exception to the 7 night minimum, please message me. If I can do it, I will try to accommodate your needs.

We are coming back! Incredibly fun lake house, well stocked, tons of amenities. The owner was super accommodating and accessible. We ran into a basic amenity issue and the owner was on it fast and had it fixed before we could wake up.Our family had a range of ages from 3 to 75. All ages had fun. The kids were addicted to fishing and caught a ton of fish off the dock. They had multiple grills. The covered pavilion was amazing for seating at 18 of us for dinner. Perfect trip for large families.

Absolutely loved the place! Had so many different things to do there never got bored and close to a store so if anything was needed it was just a quick trip up the road. Can’t wait to go back!

Family had a great time, had a couple of problems but owner reacted quickly so we were able to enjoy our stay. Everyone was agreeable to returning next year.

Lake Vacation

Excellent Family getaway

This is the prefect house for a large family gathering, we visited on Thanksgiving Weekend and we all (from kids to grandparents) loved the home, the view, the lake, the rest areas, the everything. Its centrally located on a very quiet neighborhood. Clean , spacious, organized and very well stocked, we all hope to be back during summer to enjoy the lake at his max. owner very responsive at any request Thanks Doug for sharing your place with our family

Amazing Lake House with lots of toys

3 families of 4 stayed at Doug's property this past Memorial Day weekend and it was excellent. The house itself is comfortable and roomy with lots of space but the of the property is the outdoor space.

Holiday at the Escape House

We had such a relaxing time staying at the escape house between Christmas and new years. There was so much to do that we hardly ever even wanted to leave the house. The screen room was perfect for cooking breakfast and supper with our whole crew of 17. And we all spent a lot of time on the dock sunning, swimming and playing cards.

Memorable Family Time

This was such an awesome property with beautiful lake views and plenty of "water toys" to enjoy the lake with. The little beach area was the favorite place for the children and our dog who loves the water! The Host has made the home so comfortable, from the well stocked kitchens, comfy beds, and room darkening coverings for the windows. Everything was super clean! We would definitely return. Heads up...don't let little ones get the remote even if the TV is off. You might end up ordering a movie you hadn't planned on....LOL

Christmas at Lake June

We spent Christmas 2023 at the relaxing Lake June house. Everything but the weather was nearly perfect. Lots of space. Enjoyed the kayaks and dock. Caught a few fish but not many. Water was chilly (even for a NJ bunch)...you could still jump in off the rope swing or high platform for the younger ones..but water was in high 60's--so you jumped in and got out quickly. We used the grills, played corn hole. We would have really enjoyed having basic cable tv...we found the tv streaming to be slow and difficult to do (even with tech savvy college age kids.). Had trouble with sound on upstairs tv (even when watching a movie with DVD player). Oldest family member was handicapped, mobility limited...which was a challenge outdoors at the house. Very difficult for us to get him down to the dock. We knew that this would be the case prior to renting...but I would not recommend this house for a handicapped/mobility limited guest who wants to spend time outdoors. We were hoping for better weather...but I think that's December in Florida. Would rent again...but only in the warmer months to be able to fully enjoy the outdoor areas/activities of the house. Close to grocery store and small downtown area which was an added bonus. Owner was communicative about check in and check out. We did not have any issues.

Great house. This was a family getaway for a group of 15… everyone fit comfortably. Great house to spend the weekend. We were able to rent a boat and have it dropped off at the property dock. The owner provided kayaks, which were fun, there is an area on the dock to jump off of the second story right into Lake June… super fun, the rope swing was a hit. Traveled with my child who is in a wheelchair. She was able to be on the main floor and then to get below downstairs, there was access by going out the front door and walking around on the driveway. Getting to the fire pit and into the screened grill area had six steps, but with the group we were able to carry her wheelchair down. She could not make it in her chair down to the dock, but she’s small enough that I just carried her down so we could get on the boat everyday. Overall great experience! So many memories around the fire pit… I highly recommend this home for a family getaway. We will be back

This is our 4th year staying on Lake June. We absolutely love this lake for wake surfing, tubing, and kneeboarding. We were all very happy with the room and amenities this house provides fitting a yearly multigenerational family vacation. The house was very clean and comfortable. The home is set up to provide the best experience a large group could ask for when vacationing. The dock provides plenty of room for docking multiple boats. Our kids had fun paddling around on the kayaks and paddle boards the home provided. The seating and fan on the dock makes it pleasant to relax on the dock midday in the summer. We can’t say enough great things about this home!We are looking forward to staying at your home again next year! Thank you for allowing us to stay at your home!

House was fine. Owner communication was excellent. Kayaks were a great addition, along with the dock and beach. Everyone enjoyed being in the water. We did not use the kitchen for dinner but it appeared to have plenty of pots and pans.Bought ice as there was limited supply. Plenty of space in the multiple freezers.One negative was the bath towel request. Bath towels needing to be washed dryed and put away before departing was a burden. This rule was not stated until the checkin information was sent. I think that information should have been included up front. First time I have ever encountered that requirement and since we were flying out of Orlando, i would have considered other rentals. Had we been able to stay til checkout time it probably wouldnt have mattered.

Fantastic place for a family reunion!!!

The Lake June escape house was a fantastic place to have our family reunion. It was clean and well outfitted for a great time. There were plenty of beds a game room with lots of activities for the kids and adults, and a beautiful lake. We enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards. The kids enjoyed jumping off the platform and using the rope swing. . We had a great time around the fire pit. Pretty much everything was provided so we had to bring very little other than food. We had such a good time. We’re hoping to come again for another family get together.

Perfect for Family Gatherings

The property is perfectly suited for large family gatherings. We had enough space to comfortably sleep two large families with children and two older couples. The game room, seating areas, and outdoor space was perfect to entertain for a long weekend. The three fridges and very well stocked kitchen kept us smoothly serving all meals. The kayaks and paddle boards were a ton of fun, too, and the life jackets, tackle, rods, and towels were great to have ready to use. Wonderful stay!

Celebrating Family

Circumstance took us to Lake June and it turned out to be a great vacation. 8 adults and 3 kids from CA, AR, SC and FL had a wonderful week. Plenty of beds, space, dishes, refrigeration, outdoor space and we lucked up with sunshine for 7 days after Christmas! Communication with our host was great. Highly recommended!!

My wife, Katie and I, are originally from the Chicago Suburbs. We moved permanently down to Bradenton Florida in 2018 with our 5 younger children. Our kids love to be on the water wakeboarding, wake surfing, tubing, just anything outdoors on the water. We purchased our home in 2021 so we could have a place to have fun, make memories, and share with people to do the same. We hope you love our Escape House as much as we do. We will do everything we can to make your trip the best vacation ever and hope to build some long term relationships with our guests.

Why they chose this property

We have a large family and always have lots of guests, so we set our home up to fit large groups. We put all our focus on gathering areas, sleeping areas, and of course, the outdoor living space. There is no shortage of fun at our home on Lake June. Lake June is hands down, the most beautiful lake in Florida. It is a 3700 acre fresh water lake that stays warm all year round. It is know for its amazing fishing, boating, and all recreational water activities. We are nestled in a cove that is plenty big to run lines with the kids behind the boat. It stays pretty calm most days in the cove. We are sandy bottom with a quick progression so we have 10-12ft of depth at the end of the dock. There is plenty of outdoor dining areas and relaxation areas, so you can enjoy the weather, the views, and keep an eye on the kids.

Inside, we have WiFi hot spots all over the home, so there is no dead areas. Cell phone coverage is great all around our home, as there are cell sites close by. We have a stocked game room for the rainy portions of the day with pool table, ping pong, video games, darts, etc... With our large family, we really thought of it all. You will love our home, the area, and Lake June!
