The cottage is located on a hill opposite the lake Sommen, in the village with the same name. Nearby are the stores, restaurants and public service facilities of Tranås. Also worth visiting is the candy cane town of Gränna or the towns of Visingsö, Jönköping and Lake Vättern. For a day trip is also suitable Astrid Lindgrens Värld, an adventure park.
