Walk to fine dining and chic shopping from this owner operated very clean dramatic contemporary retreat. Centrally located in the coveted "West of Fairfax" zone of WeHo, the home delivers privacy & security behind iron gates and towering hedges. When you step into this sanctuary called “Modern Oasis", it will take your breath away.

The warm atmosphere and setting is filled with sweeping floor-to-ceiling double paned sliding glass doors that wash the home in natural light. Arriving guests enter through a welcoming foyer into a single space holding living, dining, family and modern kitchen; all of it unfolds surrounded by leafy views & natural greenery on 3 sides.

High-style & functional touches include a prep island with seating, state of the art stainless appliances, 7 private patios, 4 full bathrooms; 3 of which are en-suite, an architectural stairway with skylight, and a beautiful stone wall in the television area.

Two large bedrooms with huge closets and two full bathrooms, complete with walk-in showers finish the lower level.

Proceeding to the 2nd level, you’ll step onto the striking skylit stairway and enjoy two more spacious primary suites with private balconies, walk-in closets and full spa-like bathrooms featuring a walk-in shower, dual sinks and large bathtubs. A third quaint skylit bedroom, with twin bed, is ideal for small children.

These 2nd level retreats feature treetop views with a total of 4 private balconies.

THE OWNER: This home is meticulously cared for by an engaged owner, who used to live in it. He has attained Super Host & Premier Host status, retains a private cleaning team, constantly inspects it, and lives nearby to be at your service as needed.

DON’T BE FOOLED by other listings with titles like "Modern Mansions or Villas with Swimming Pools". From our experience in the market, most are typical worn and dirty “party houses” on busy streets; some right next to commercial businesses.

WHAT'S WALKABLE? Within 3 to 4 blocks are well known hip restaurants Ysabel, Employee’s Only, Delilah and Laurel Hardware- just to name a few. A Whole Foods, convenience store, and Blue Bottle Coffee are just 4 blocks - but you’d never know it with how private and secluded this “Modern Oasis" feels.

This house was even better than described and PERFECT for 3 generations attending UCLA graduations. There were 7 of us, ages 17-79. Communication with Fred (the amazing host) was great from booking through check-out. The neighborhood feels safe, and the house is walking distance to restaurants, shopping, markets. Our family would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful and modern with great location

The home was clean, open, spacious with 4 large bedrooms and 1 single. Very comfortable beds, all updated bathrooms and kitchen. The owner Fred was easy to contact and truly cared that we had a nice experience. Definitely recommend this property

A True Oasis in West Hollywood

We stayed at this magnificent house for two days on our way to a family wedding in Malibu. The owners were incredibly gracious, making sure at all times that we had what we needed to make our stay a memorable one. We felt very comfortable there and enjoyed the surrounding areas very much. Great dining, shopping and people-watching literally a block away from the house. All around, a five-star experience!

Amazing Property for Media Shoot

Fred and Jill were GREAT to work with. This was an amazing place for our out of town execs to stay while visiting LA. This house is beautifully designed inside and out! We utilized the front drive way for the launch of our product one morning and the photos/videos that came from the shoot were phenomenal. I would highly recommend their property for not only a stay while visiting, but for photo / video shoots as well!

Amazing stay

We had the absolute best time at the house in West Hollywood with our 2 toddlers. The house was perfect and exactly as described. The host Fred was more than incredible when it came to overall communication. My wife had lost a necklace and he helped us retrieve it in the trash after we had moved out. We will 1000% be booking again for our next stay in LA!!

Really 4.5*

This was a family vacation of nine, which included our two adult children, their spouses and children (1 1/2 to 3 years old). The house is gorgeous, very spacious, and in a safe and convenient neighborhood! There are plenty of ammenities for everyone. The owners, especially Fred, were *extremely* responsive and quick to resolve any issues (e.g., internet went out and Fred contacted Spectrum right away. The next morning, it was still out and he contacted tech support to get it working asap). Fred also rented two cribs for the little ones, which was very much appreciated! There were a few minor issues that caused us to give the 4* rating (but we really feel it should be 4.5*): There were ants in the master bathroom, particularly the shower. Fred immediately hired an exterminator. Though there were ants all week, the number did reduce as the week progressed. For our inconvenience of having to clean them twice a day, he refunded $200. 2. The furniture (particularly kitchen chairs & stools) was uncomfortable. 3. While this home is very spacious and beautiful, it is not ideal for toddlers. The heavy pocket doors pinched their little fingers. The wood floors are slippery, the rugs do not have rubber backing and the contemporary furniture has pointed corners, making for many falls and bumps/bruises throughout the week. All in all, it is a great place in a great location with great hosts! We highly recommend, especially if there are no toddlers!

This was a beautiful house with great living spaces that worked well for our group of 8 people, and with spacious bedrooms and bathrooms.Two of us also have chemical sensitivities and the host was incredibly helpful in making sure we had fragrance free bedding and towels. We would rent here again in a heartbeat.

The property is impressive, felt private, and was on a quiet street. We were able to walk to nearby restaurants and down to Melrose within minutes. Parking for 2 cars behind a secure gate, any more requires a permit to park on street. Lots of communication with the owner! He was very kind. The star of the show was the backyard with floor to ceiling windows overlooking a relaxing backyard with lots of trees.We sat out every morning.

Terrific property in perfect location

My family of 5, my mother-in-law, and two friends stayed here for a week. The location was surprisingly quiet but within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants, and the home itself was beautiful and well maintained. Communication with the host was excellent. We couldn’t have been happier with the rental and plan on coming back to this property on our next trip to LA!

Just perfection

We were in town for my high school reunion, we needed some time just for us. This home is beautiful and well laid out. It was probably too big for just two, but I would definitely book again, and most likely will. Exceeds expectations in every way!

Based on the listing and many five star reviews, I expected this property to be something special. We stayed at the house for four nights with a group of friends and family for our daughter’s college graduation. The photos on the property listing do not begin to convey the loveliness of the space. The high ceilings and large rooms create a light and expansive center, which is surrounded by trees and green space all around. It’s a perfect combination of openness and light, while creating a feeling that you are surrounded in your own private forest. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in a city rental house that was as quiet and serene. The artwork and decor are gorgeous, it’s clearly a house that is loved and cared for by the owners. On the practical side, it’s great to have a spacious bedroom and bath for every room (We didn’t use the twin bed bedroom, but it would be ideal for a small child). No one had to feel like they got the “bad bedroom” because there isn’t one. I’m picky about bedding and towels, the beds were super comfortable and the towels looked brand new. Fred was accommodating and responsive, quickly responding to any texts with questions or concerns. I would absolutely stay here again and can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone.

Great Host and Amazing Home!

First off, Fred is the nicest and most accommodating VRBO host I’ve encountered. He made sure everything we needed was taken care and checked on our group before and during the trip. Fred is a gem. The home is absolutely spectacular. It’s perfect for a large group, especially couples. The landscaping and outdoor spaces were serene. The bedroom and common area finishes screamed “Hollywood!” The home is centrally located to the nicest areas of Los Angeles. Downtown, Hollywood, and Beverly Hills are all within a 20-minute drive. I could go on and on about how great our stay was. You will be amazed with this stay!

Lovely stay

We had the best time staying at this LA oasis in the middle of the city. The rooms were spacious- clean, BEAUTIFUL fixtures and furniture. Easy to talk with the host and easy to park in the gated driveway. Highly recommend
