About this property

Stoney Ridge Lighthouse

The lighthouse is located on 50 acres of wooded property on Rock Lake in central Minnesota (about 2 hours northwest of the twin cities). The 2,000 square foot lighthouse has seven levels, including the crows nest that is over 50 feet high, here guests can see over the canopy of the trees. It is a timber framed structure that includes 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

The property the lighthouse sits on is connected to 500 acres of state land, there is ample room for snowshoeing, cross country skiing and endless walks in the woods. The small lake (11 acres) is about 500 feet away from the lighthouse and there is private access to the lake for the guests to use as well as a campfire ring. We provide kayaks, a paddle boat, and a canoe. There is a swimming raft in the in the middle of the lake for the guests as well.

We really enjoyed our time here! The light house is a really cool, unique place. We did alot of hiking and the hot tub was a welcome releif when we got back. Nice quiet spot. We will definalty repeat!

Celebrating our Anniversary

We wanted a peaceful get away for a couple days. This place was perfect! Very clean enjoyed the views from up top the lighthouse as well as sitting looking out the beautiful windows. Also, enjoyed the hot tub and paddle boat ride on the lake.

Quiet, relaxing haven!

We booked for an annual girls weekend and it was the perfect stay! Secluded and quiet, absolutely gorgeous property! We each had our own space, with a lot of options for hanging out in comfort! Schools out!

Celebrated the end of the school year with a short stay. Great place with lots of character! Kids had a lot of fun climbing to the top, and enjoyed the views above the trees. Everyone was sad to leave.

A fun, new experience with friends

We had a high school girls weekend. The place was immaculate. The views from all the windows are awesome, with many windows, and of course the upper 2 levels of the lighthouse. We were fortunate to be there when the leaves were bright yellow. It was beautiful. The crafmanship of the woodworking is amazing. Real attention to detail. I would definitely recommend staying here.
