About this property

Air conditioned, One Bedroom Cottages right on Shafer Lake with Boat Docks. The cottage has one full bed and one futon. Kitchenette with sink, mini-fridge, microwave and coffee pot. Private bathroom with shower. Charcoal Grills with each cabin, private patio, with sitting area and your own yard space. All cottages have View of the Lake. Freshly Cleaned after each stay.
GUESTS NEED TO BRING TOWELS AND LINEN FOR THEIR STAY. Beds have mattress covers and pillows are provided on the bed, will need to bring pillows for the futon.
Pet Friendly - one time $50.00 pet fee.

Our family owned lake front cottages are the perfect choice if you are looking for a peaceful getaway close to all the action Monticello has to offer!

Our property has a three bedroom house and six one bedroom cabins that can be rented on their own or we have people who rent the whole place for their friends/family getaway. Each cabin has a view of the lake, its own patio area and a charcoal grill to enjoy on the perfect summer nights! have decks, where you can sit outside and enjoy the lake views. Our individual cottages are Clean and recently remodeled with boat docks for each cottage rental. They have their own yard space with Barbeque grills, picnic tables. We are located right on Shaffer Lake Front with walkable lake level property.

Our fire pit is always available with adult supervision. We have a designated swimming area, there is no life guard, children have to be supervised with an adult at all times. You can fish off of our docks, or just put a chair on the dock and enjoy our sunsets.

Worst Experience

We started with cabin 2 and it was completely unsafe to stay in. The screen door and entry door neither one would close properly, the bathroom toilet was about to fall through the floor, the mattress was stained horribly and very broken down and the air conditioner was not plugged in and when they tried to plug it into a double prong instead of a three prong extension cord that was frayed as well is totally unsafe. The kitchen light was flashing. The smoke detector still had the tab that looked like it was not actively working as well. We then switched to cabin 4 which had a horrible mattress that was also broken down and the bathroom toilet was about to fall through the floor. These were supposed to be completely renovated and if that were the case they were very poorly done. The docks also were in very sad shape with board loose, warped and poorly patched. This was the worst experience we have ever had. We only ended up being able to stay one night. Very disappointed.
