OUR TEAM:
Blu Turey Villa is our family home! Blu Turey means "blue sky" in the Taino language. The Taino people were the original inhabitants of the island of Jamaica. They were a gentle people and we honor them by using their language to describe the beautiful "blue sky" views offered by our home.

Our mother always had a dream of building a hillside home that overlooks the North Coast of Jamaica. She broke ground in 2006, and she persisted through many setbacks to complete the 8 bedroom 7.5 bathroom home in 2014. The pool, gazebo, bar, and convenient bathroom for these outdoor amenities, were completed in 2015. She always knew that she wanted to share these beautiful surroundings with the world.

This is not a cookie-cutter property, and we are not a wealthy family. Rather, our mother had a vision that she pursued with admirable work ethic and dedication. There were times that we (her children) didn’t think the house would ever get finished, yet our mother persisted. This property stands as a testament to her strength of character!

We are now ready to complete our mother's vision by offering this property to travelers. Travelers will have access to the property when our family will not be using it.

[] Jackie and Rod serve as your host and co-host, and are happy to answer questions, offer advice, and resolve issues. They live in the US. Jackie was born in Jamaica, and Rod was born in Japan.

[] Leo is your onsite Property Manager and Cook. He lives on the property year-round, and knows the surrounding areas extremely well. This makes him an ideal resource as you plan activities. Leo is also your cook and is happy to accompany you for grocery shopping. Cooking services are included in rental rates, but guests must purchase the food they want to consume.

[] Steadman is an independent operator with JCAL Tours LTD., and he is the driver we recommend for all your travel needs. He is very familiar with the unique location of Blu Turey Villa, and can offer transportation for large groups. In addition to transporting you from and to the airport, he can take you to other locations on the island. He is registered with the Jamaica Tourist Board. Enjoy Jamaica's most beautiful and scenic sights in luxury and air conditioned comfort.

[] The home has 3 floors, and because of its hillside location, you enter on the top floor. Guests have full access to the top and middle floors.
[][] There is also a ground floor with a completely separate entrance that houses the onsite property manager and cook, in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment, for your convenience.
[][] The 24' x 16' pool, with attached jacuzzi, is surrounded by a gazebo and a lovely bar area. This space is perfect for your outdoor enjoyment.
