Whitewater rafting, scenic river floats, fly fishing, hiking, private Yellowstone Park tours, hot spring soaking, horseback riding, cross country skiing, winter wildlife viewing, and downhill skiing are some of the fun activities that are offered in this area. The town of Livingston is a 25-minute drive and offers many restaurants, shopping, museum, grocery stores, bars, gas stations, post office, hospital, pharmacy, park and more. There is a small grocery store and gas station in Emigrant, which is a 15-minute drive. The Bozeman-Yellowstone International Airport is a beautiful 60-minute drive…unless you stop to take photos along the way (which we’re sure you’ll want to do)!

Best of the best with views for days!
From the moment we walked thru the door, we felt ourselves relaxing. The house was bigger than what we really needed for the two of us. We ended up being able to spread out our stuff and do some laundry after driving for a few days. The house is extremely clean and well appointed with small touches to make us feel at home. Beautiful bedrooms, comfy sitting rooms, fluffy bath towels, and a kitchen that had everything we needed for our four night stay. Even games and books to keep us busy on our down day. And the views! Don’t forget your binoculars as we saw a herd of elk wandering over the ridge. The mule deer came by each morning and evening to feed nearby, so did some birds. (Quail maybe?) The owners live on the property so if we needed anything, the response was quick while giving us our privacy. Close by to Yellowstone National Park or wandering thru old downtown Bozeman or Livingston. So much to do in the area and it was nice to be in the middle of all of it!

Great place to stay.
We enjoyed our stay in Pray. House was very clean and was stocked with everything we needed. Jean was very kind and met us when we arrived and explained what we needed to know. Thanks for the great welcome and the Huckleberry and Blueberry were an adorable addition!

Perfect launch pad for our Yellowstone adventures
The only gripe I have about our stay was that we didn't stay longer. First, the location is perfect. We were and hour from Bozeman airport, 20 minutes from Livingston for groceries and shopping, and about an hour from the north Yellowstone gate. The home is spacious, well-stocked, and quiet - perfect for our family of 4. The little touches were what I enjoyed the most. The plush towels (most VRBOs have cheap, scratchy towels). The welcome note. The nice knives (my wife LOVED those). The stack of brochures for Yellowstone and more. It added up to the perfect getaway adventure to enjoy the mountains. I only wish we had more time!

With a great love of the the west, mountains, wildlife and wild places, Jean and Mark moved to Montana 18 years ago from Minnesota and never looked back! Living and working in Paradise Valley is truly a dream-come-true and they feel so incredibly lucky to live within the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. They're both excited to share their love of Montana and Yellowstone Park with visitors who stay in their vacation rental and hope that it offers a peaceful getaway from life's responsibilities and stresses!

Why they chose this property

Sometimes when you see a property, you just know that it's home. When we first drove up to look at our property, the views took our breath away. No matter which way you turn, there are inspiring mountain views teaming with pine trees. Deer often meander through and oftentimes relax in the cool grass or under a tree. Eagles and hawks can be seen flying gracefully overhead. During the winter months large herds of elk graze our property and they're amazing to watch! It's a peaceful existence away from noise, traffic, congestion and we love everything about it!

What makes this property unique

Our vacation home is spacious and allows our guests to spread out and relax. The views from any window are beautiful and sunrises and sunsets are oftentimes spectacular. We live on a private road and our neighborhood is very quiet so that guests can enjoy the sounds of birds and the mountain breezes.
