Hope House is a new addition to Bethel Village Christian Retreat. Hope House is nestled among pine trees in a quiet, secluded setting. The perfect place for honeymoons, anniversaries, celebrations, couple reconnecting, and small families. We have everything you need to feel right at home. There is a 3 1/2 acre pond, a walking trail, and so much more! The grounds are beautiful with trees, shrubs, and flowers. Fishing, paddle boating, cycling, and walking trails are available!

The hosts were very pleasant and wanted to ensure we had all we needed. We were in town for a funeral and wanted a quiet place for our family to gather. The modest rates were a blessing with significant unplanned travel.

The Hope House was so charming, clean and comfortable. Everything needed and more was provided and well appointed in all areas. The property was beautiful and serene with outdoor seating areas, including swings to enjoy the lakeviews and grounds. The house has a sweet screened in porch attached to enjoy morning coffee or evening breezes. We were two couples that stayed there during the Peaches to Beaches event, and Hope House was convenient to shopping and dining, though you can certainly make your own meals with everything you need to do so, and it was a relaxing place to come back to each day. Brenda was prompt and gracious with communicating with us and she even checked with us during our stay to see if we needed anything. We would definitely stay there again when we need a place to stay in the area or just for a getaway.

Hope House was the perfect place to stay during our visit from out of state for a family funeral. From the moment we pulled on to the property it was a welcoming, beautiful and restful space. A quiet peaceful place to relax after shopping at Peaches to Beaches yard sale. Awesome property and Brenda & George are super hosts, always hospitable and accommodating. Hope House has everything you need! We will definitely be back.

The Hope House was exactly as advertised. Two senior couples enjoyed this spacious place. Plenty of trails to explore & enjoy the landscape and lake. Brenda & George are excellent hosts and they make sure you have everything you need...great communication!!

Tranquility

Our family absolutely loved staying here. Tranquility only begins to describe this beautiful place. The grounds are amazing and the Hope House is a showpiece. Everything you need for respite and renewal is there and you will not find better hosts than George and Brenda anywhere. We will definitely be returning. The only reason I rated this experience as 5 is because “7” was not an option.

This is such a beautiful property and truly is a place of solitude.

The Hope House is a beautiful property. Truly a wonderful place to get away and connect. Brenda has so many special details throughout which just makes you feel welcomed . We have stayed at many properties from the city, country , treehouse etc. and I can say without a doubt the Hope House is the best property we have stayed at. Truly a special place. We can't wait to go back for a longer visit. Do not hesitate on booking this special place. You will leave refreshed and renewed.

Beautiful home

Home was as advertised beautiful. I read that is was for four adults and two pets under 20 lbs and other than a one year old child that is what we had. We arrived about 6:30 pm. I was impressed by the land and the inside of home. I had some personal business to do on internet but it was down. We kept trying but no go. Then the next morning still no internet called owner they came down and called internet company but not fix. Father’s Day husband and son went on paddle boat but wasn’t working properly owner looked at it and said needed parts. Then owner has three dogs that were down by the lake My daughter in law and I and the baby and her little dog about 14 lbs went down to the lake her dog was attacked by German Shepherd by Gods grace she survived. We called the owners they immediately came to the house offered a vet but was closed. They said if I would have marked pets they would have kept theirs locked up. The one dog German Shepherd is very protective of the other two. To say the least the whole trip was then messed up daughter in law very upset and me all I can see is that small dog in Shepard mouth. In closing clean home , excellent host but those dogs should not be on that side when someone is renting, what if it was a child.

The guest did not indicate on the booking that she was bringing pets. When there are other pets we let the guest know that we have outside pets and tell them to let us know when their pets are outside. If theirs are out we keep ours in the pen or at our house in the breezeway. We are so sorry this happened because we all love our pets and do not want them harmed in anyway. We immediately responded to the situation, called our vet whose office was closed. We offered to go to another emergency clinic 45 minutes away but the guest declined the offer and decided to wait until they got back home. We've been hosting for 5 years and take our responsibilities of making sure things like this do not happen.

What a cozy, lovely home! Larger than the actual vrbo pictures ; ) Loved the deep tub with the Dr. Teals foaming bath gel...was able to relax and light the aromatic candles ; ) Also loved the complimentary frozen pizza, apple juice, o.j. and waters. Elextric fireplace, Christmas tree, and Christmas decor were charming! Confirms Brenda goes that extra step for her guests. My grandbaby really enjoyed the swings and nature trail ; ) We sat by the pond drank coffee and just took nature in....also enjoyed the screened in porch in the back of the house. Told my daughter this is the place to go when you need a break away from the city. Thanks so very much Brenda!!! Hope to be back soon ; )

A real Gem!!

We were so happy to have found this place. The owners are super friendly and helpful, and the house is equipped with all the necessities and then some. Additionally, there are outside toys and a small lake with. It is so peaceful. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and we will be back.

Our family Mini Vacation

Our trip to Bethel Village Christian Retreat was a wonderful experience. We are from Florida and rented off of VRBO, not knowing what to expect. Once we arrived we were amazed at how beautiful this place is. There is so much to do and it is all in a safe environment. Mr. & Mrs. Smith, our host are amazing people! What a wonderful place for families and their children to come play and relax. I can’t say enough how beautiful and relaxing this place is, the Smith’s did a wonderful job at making this place for what it is. I did not want to leave. We will definitely come back. Everything was amazing for our stay here. Beautiful place, so relaxing and peaceful. The home was spotless and had such a welcoming feel. There was so much thought put into making sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable. Great fishing at the lake, and even a swing set for the our grandson when he came to visit. The hosts checked on us regularly. We would love to stay there again or at any place they host.

Relax in serene environment

The house was new and beautiful. The hosts were so hospitable and the property is very relaxing. My son enjoyed fishing while the rest of my family relaxed and enjoyed the view of the small lake.
