Retired Special Education Teacher who moved from the bitter cold of Fargo to Phoenix hoping to never freeze again. My life has been wrapped up in helping others reach their potential and to promote each individual to have an unrelenting sense of their own personal value.

Helping others by providing quality living space is a part of my upbringing. Both of my grandmothers opened their homes to the needy during the depression. Somewhere along the line their helpful nature “come in and be safe” turned into full fledge boarding houses, that they managed until they were both in their mid 80's. Then my father continued their legacy & passed the family mantra on to me, provide for others before you have comforts for yourself.

The home has a separate apartment that provides for people to be completely autonomous during their stay or they can join and socialize when they choose. The design of the home allows for privacy or open sharing. Do not like a personal details pass over the next statement.
Why do I share my home?? It is personal. You hear of medical debt setting people back. I have had more than my share of medical issues. I've had cancer twice, I have a heart condition, my arms loose all feeling as a daily occurrence, & at the age of 18 my left leg was paralyzed. I am one of those with mounting medical debt. I'm not in this to get rich or to destroy quiet neighborhoods. I am on disability, living on the fixed income of a teacher. Renting my space off-sets my ability to make payments towards my medical bills.
