Dewdrop Cabin is located on beautiful W Shore Drive in Crosslake. Step out your door and walk/run/bike along the paved pathway, trimmed with gorgeous Aspens. The cabin is equipped with a full kitchen, high speed internet, Roku TV on the bottom level and Nintendo 64 gaming system and DVD player upstairs. The two bedrooms on the lower level have a queen and double bed/twin bunk bed, the upstairs has two twin beds and queen bed.
The cabin is located within the Whitefish chain of lakes, directly across the street is Cross Lake. The boat ramp and public access for Cross Lake is just a short drive on the SW shore. After a day in the sun or snow, visit one of the many nearby bars and restaurants. The Wharf is only half a mile away and Downtown Crosslake is a ten minute drive.
The historic cabin was built in the 1950's and still maintains original character evident in the knotty pine and moldings but with modern amenities such as a fully renovated bathroom. Round up your friends and family, fishing poles and water or snow toys and get to Crosslake to enjoy a one-of-a-kind lake experience!
Please note that no motorized vessels are allowed on Dewdrop Lake. We have a row boat, pedal boat and paddle board for your use as well as a floating mat. Dewdrop is swimmable, but we do have some weeds at our shoreline.
Our house is located right off the main road, the driveway is very short and if you have a trailer, you will need to park the trailer on the side yard and detach from car.
Parking is limited: There are two parking spots in the driveway, two cars fit in the garage and one the side yard off the driveway, as pictured. No parking on the street or in neighbors property at all. Violators will be towed at own expense.
Security: A surveillance camera will be active above the garage facing only the garage and our right side yard (boat parking side).
Access to Dewdrop lake is down the path next to the fish house. Please be careful as the pathway may be slippery in icy conditions.

Once again, we had an amazing time! This is our 2nd trip to this wonderful cabin and we plan on returning in the future! The lake is so private and serene. It was time away that our family desperately needed and it did not disappoint.
Our stay at Dew Drop was more than we could wish for. The owners thought of all our needs and more. Ultimate in clean, fresh linens and plenty of towels. A gorgeous view from sunrise to sunset, kind neighbors, a WONDERFUL walk path and convenient location to Pequot, Nisswa and of course downtown Crosslake.
This cabin is a true up north experience. From the cozy cabin to the small and quiet lake with great fishing. There's even a paved walking trail, and it's dog friendly...our dogs enjoyed the lake as much as we did. To top it off its close to town where there are plenty of family activities to do.
Nice little property in a really nice area. Didn't get a chance to use the watercraft, but they were available. Property was clean, weather was nice. Easy to check in and out. The nice paved trail running by the house was a nice surprise. Would rent again.
Our family with young children stayed for a week and had a wonderful time! The property was a perfect base camp for all the fun outdoor activities the area has to offer!
Perfect location for our stay! Close to lots of fun and amenities, but in a very quiet neighborhood which felt nice and secluded. Dewdrop Lake is beautiful and clean. Highly recommended!
Our family of 4 + dog had a wonderful time here! Everything about the check in/out experience was very easy and the host was so quick to answer any questions we had! It is a very charming older cabin that has history behind it. The lake is so calm and peaceful - and full of fish! We had a great time on the water on the paddleboard, row boat and lily pad! We will definitely be returning!
Having all the cookware was awesome! The lawn chairs and life jackets were very nice to have available! The Row Boat was such a great feature! Everyone enjoyed the Cabin and my Family had a great time and the kids loved it even more!
lots of fish and wildlife and great sunsets only thing was can't swim from shore to many dead trees with sharp branches at the end of the dock wood help if the dock was longer

Hi James, glad you had a good time! Apologies for the tree branches in the water, we did try to clean out our beach area, but have had a few storms this summer.
We enjoyed our time staying here for the long Labor Day weekend with friends & family. The cabin was pretty accurate to what was advertised - however, there is no futon in the living room as pictured. Other than that, all was as expected. Dewdrop Lake is a small, peaceful lake which we enjoyed. Location is convenient to local spots around Crosslake. Cabin is right off the main road (walking path butts up to the lawn) so something to be aware of if you have pets/small children. It was a little snug with 8 adults (especially having 2 on a full bed), but I feel like it would be perfect for a family or two with kids. Overall we really enjoyed our time and appreciated that it was also pet-friendly. We would stay again, though with maybe one less person to make it a bit more comfortable!

Cute place
The property is cute and in a beautiful neighborhood. It was well stocked with kitchen, bath and bedroom items. However I would recommend the property only for a visit on the spring, summer or fall. The property does not have enough insulation for a winter visit. We were unable to use the large porch area for dining or games because it was way too cold. The heaters worked hard but were insufficient. Granted it was terribly cold the weekend we visited. However, I think guests would have the same issue in the winter at average winter temperatures too. Lovely place for a spring, summer or fall visit.

Hi Bonnie, thank you so much for the feedback. I take this kind of feedback very seriously and we are will be hiring someone to come out and replace the furnace and fix the vent for the dining area as well as look into insulation for the entire house. I do apologize for your discomfort during your stay and would love to have you back anytime to redeem ourselves. Please let me know if this interests you and we can discuss rates.
This was the right cabin for our family, my partner and adult son. We had a wonderful stay. It was nostalgic for me, the cabin and the lake, nostalgic of past years spent with family in that area, and of summers at a nearby camp, in similar cabins with pine interiors, etc. If you want to stay in luxury on a large lake, like Gull Lake, this is not that. If you want to stay on a lake reminiscent of Walden Pond, this lake, Dew Drop Lake, is that, and the cabin is perfect for writers, poets and lyricists, and for watch the dawn and the dusk with a coffee or a beer or wine, on a lake of which you can see and watch the entire shoreline and all the happenings, the loons and ducks and fish hitting the surface and muskrats and silent fishermen and eagles. Yes, there is an eagle nest nearby. You will see it all the time. Our last morning I saw an eagle just after dawn swoop in and pull a good sized fish out of the water and fly off with effortless grace. The cabin is the right balance and blend of comfort and practicality, of 1970s and 2000s. We did not find the upstairs until our 3rd day. Oops. Great area for kids of all ages (pre-teens to 40s) to have their own space, yet the bunkbeds are downstairs.

Hi Jeff, thank you so much for a great review! We absolutely love our historic cabin and so happy to get to share it with others that appreciate its nostalgic charm!
A perfect little get away for my husband and me. We enjoy quaint cabins in the woods with lake views and quiet opportunities. Dewdrop Cabin did not disappoint us. There were just the two of us which was perfect. 3 adults would work (the second bedroom was big enough for just the bed), more than that would be a stretch. The upstairs room, although perhaps perfect for children, was quite hot. And with only one small bathroom in total, “7 guests” in the description is misleading. Although it has had some modern updates (AC, newer bathroom, Wi-Fi), the cabin is in need of some TLC. Original carpeting in front room was quite musty and the kitchen was not well-equipped or organized for all our meals. We loved our morning coffee overlooking the beautiful Dewdrop Lake and seeing the sunset after dinner. It was a peaceful escape with good fishing and a lovely walking trail right outside the door! A fun little gem in the woods.
My family had the best time at Dewdrop Lake. The cabin has all the charm of an "up north" cabin, with plenty of thoughtful amenities. The children adored the upstairs, with a "secret" play area and plenty of space to spread out (3 children slept upstairs comfortably, easily could fit 4 kids). Dewdrop Lake is small, but the fishing was incredible. We haven't caught Panfish this big, since Mille Lacs or Lake Osakis. Easily over 50 (keeper) fish were caught in just a matter of a couple of hours. We caught those keepers using the boat provided by the cabin. We just rowed out to the middle of the lake and the fish were biting like crazy (sometimes even without bait, just dropping the hook in). We caught northern, bass, rockfish, and sunnies mostly. Our only complaint was that the fish house light was not working, making it a little difficult to finish cleaning those fish in the dark (thankfully we had flashlights and a lantern). The location couldn't have been more perfect. 5-minute drive to the nearest gas station and eateries. Lovely trail right in front of the home, perfect for walks, rollerblading, or biking. We couldn't have had a more beautiful summer vacation and we wish we could book the same week next year, but it is unavailable! Do not let the lake's size deter you--the serenity from sitting on the dock and enjoying nature is unbeatable here!
