Shaker Bear guest house, nestled next to a private golf course, showcases charming post and beam construction. Situated in the heart of the Dartmouth Sunapee Lakes region, it provides easy access to Pleasant Lake, Lake Sunapee, and Little Lake Sunapee, offering abundant opportunities for swimming, hiking, and skiing. Proctor Academy, Colby Sawyer and Dartmouth College are only minutes away by car. The Country Club of NH (public course) is just 3 miles from our location. This course is ranked #2, as a classic course, in Golfweek’s annual list of public golf courses.

Inside the residence, you'll find two bedrooms – one featuring a queen bed and two twins, and the other with a king bed. There are two bathrooms, one with a shower and the other with a shower/bath combo. The spacious family room is adorned with a gas fireplace, and the fully equipped kitchen ensures all your culinary needs are met. Stackable washer/dryer is available in downstairs bathroom. Keep cool on warm summer days with the provided air conditioning.

Take in the breathtaking views from the rear deck while lounging in Adirondack chairs shaded by a generous umbrella. For added relaxation, unwind in the screened porch, offering both captivating views and a comfortable retreat. The vacation home is conveniently located near private runway NH40-Eagles Nest airport. The town of New London boasts of all of the charm you would expect to see in a quaint New England college town. You will find numerous shops and restaurants, and the barn playhouse (summers only). The Shaker Bear Guest House is part of a family compound.

Special cottage in New London!!

What a wonderful spot the Shaker Bear Cottage is!! We were in New London for a Colby Sawyer college reunion, and this was the most perfect place to stay. Our hosts Tom and Kem are wonderful, and their cottage is so lovely—-spotless, well appointed with anything we would need (kitchen, bathrooms) and was tradition New England decor. We loved our visit!!!

The property itself was beautiful! It had views of a beautiful garden and a golf course. The house was so bright and spacious and quite comfortable. Another Wonderful Stay!

This is our second stay and it was even better than the last. We decided to stay longer this time because we enjoyed our first stay so much. The home is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Extremely comfortable, extraordinarily well furnished with attention to every single little detail! A five star hotel could not match Tom and Kems hospitality and concern of our comfort.
