Welcome to our vacation townhouse, located by the beautiful Osoyoos Lake, the warmest freshwater Lake in Canada!
We purchased townhouse #119 in December 2021. Our unit is located second from the end, towards the quiet, East-end side of the complex. Our roomy 1600 sq ft townhouse with 9’ ceilings, faces south & has a spectacular view of Osoyoos Lake which is surrounded by the Anarchist Mountains (on the East side) and the Monashee mountains (on the West side), nestled amongst orchards and vineyards.
It has 3 bedrooms, 2 ½ bathrooms, a single car garage and the finished features include granite countertops, tiled & hardwood flooring.
We are ALMOST fully equipped; just bring your personal items, food and drinks.
We installed a brand new heat pump, May 2022. Yes, we have excellent heat and A/C!
We also had a water softener installed in May 2023.
We have EXECUTIVE LEVEL UPGRADES to turn our townhouse LUXURY. In the future, we have plans to install a level 2 electric vehicle charger in the garage.
We also own condo #210 in the same complex, Casa Del Mila Oro Resort, VRBO #1733212. It is 800 sq ft, 1 bathroom, 2 bedrooms, is on the 2nd level with a view of the pool and sleeps 6.

WHY OSOYOOS?
We are located at Casa Del Mila Oro Resort, a popular family-friendly resort where guests return yearly to enjoy their favorite summertime activities; bicycling, mountain biking, hiking and walking on our lovely Osoyoos area paths & trails with stunning desert topography.
There’s so much to do on Canada’s warmest freshwater lake; boating, wakeboarding, waterskiing, fishing or just relaxing and floating on a floatie.
Wine & food fanatics return every year for our award-winning Okanagan wines, while golfers marvel at the stunning view as they play our challenging golf courses. Families return to our area for the sun, hot temperatures and the you-pick fruit at our local orchards.
Osoyoos is considered the snowbird capital of Canada and this proves it as Snowbirds flock here for our mild temperatures and little snow.
Golfers take advantage of our golf courses since Osoyoos has the longest golf season in the BC interior. Visiting the few wineries which stay open during the winter season for tastings, is another snowbird favorite past-time.
WELCOME!
ENTRY:
You’ll be let inside by using the electronic door lock. You'll be met with a full-length mirror & bench seat by the front door.
In the entry closet, you’ll find beach towels, pet towels, binoculars, two yoga mats, an umbrella, shoe horn & lint brushes. There's also a high chair for our guests with little ones.
KITCHEN:
There are 3 bar stools at the kitchen counter bar, as well as newer stainless-steel appliances. We are well-equipped with everything you need for cooking (and even baking if the mood strikes you).
You’ll find a regular coffee maker and a Keurig with a small handful of pods, crock pot, rice cooker, 5 L digital air fryer and even an electric wine opener to name a few items as well as USB ports. You'll find plastic dishes/cutlery for our young guests.
For supplies, we have everything from coffee /decaf, teas/decaf, soya sauce, olive oil, a spice rack, Tupperware, Ziploc bags, toothpicks, dishwasher detergent, hand soap, hand lotion, sanitizer and more.
You’ll be pleasantly surprised with how well stocked we are throughout the unit!
USE WHAT YOU NEED, LEAVE WHAT YOU DON’T is our house rule.
DINING ROOM:
You’ll find a large spacious table, comfortable seating for 8 guests. There are various board games (in the bunk room), puzzles, a deck of cards, dice and books to read if you so desire.
LIVING ROOM:
There's a new comfy sectional sofa (comfortably seats 5-6 people) & large ottoman, Easyboy recliner, with new area rug and updated lamps. We have a 65" big screen smart TV above the electric fireplace so you can enjoy watching movies on our NETFLIX account, CRAVE account and premium sports channels through SPORTSNET. You'll find USB ports on our tables with lamps.
A small desk & chair in front of one of the living room’s windows (useful for guests who work on their computer from home/vacation) and USB ports.
From the windows & patio door, you will see Osoyoos lake!
PRIVATE PATIO:
Relax on our patio with a glass of your favorite Okanagan wine while enjoying the gorgeous Osoyoos Lake view and our resort’s 300 feet of private beachfront. We have a natural gas Weber BBQ (no propane tanks needed) with BBQ tools for you to use and enjoy while making memorable summertime meals for the family. Our patio has a table with umbrella and seating for 8 guests.
BEDROOMS:
As you head upstairs, the PRIMARY BEDROOM is on your right. Open the balcony door between the two large windows which look out onto Osoyoos Lake and walk out onto the balcony & relax at the table with seating for two.
The SECOND BEDROOM is at the end of the hallway. You will have a view of the parking lot where the inner courtyard is with the swimming pool and hot tub.
For parents with little ones, you’ll find a “pack and play” in the closet to use if needed as well as an iron.
In both the primary and secondary bedrooms, you'll find king size beds with plush headboards and new mattresses, linens & duvets, dressers, lamps and night tables were replaced and black-out curtains were added. You'll also find USB ports and 55" smart tvs. Both bedrooms have a closet & luggage rack.
THIRD BEDROOM WITH BUNK BEDS
There’s a skylight in the bunkbed room which brings in the natural Okanagan light. A cover is installed over the skylight to keep from overheating the room. There is a fan in the corner of the room to help with air circulation in the hot summer months. We have added bunk beds (double on the bottom AND top). No ladder, it has stairs up to the top bunk.
The top bunk has a 24" smart tv and 32" smart tv installed in the bottom bunk, as well as USB ports and reading lights for both bunk beds. Under the bottom bunk are 2 drawers to hold clothing, and a 4-hook holder is installed behind the door. A large mirror is secured beside the door, and there is linens for both beds.
BATHROOMS:
In the ENSUITE, you'll find double sinks, a Waterpik with an updated curved shower curtain rod in the bathtub/shower for more shower space.
In the UPSTAIRS MAIN BATHROOM, there’s a neo-angle shower with Waterpik.
Both bathrooms have white towels & face cloths ( some grey ones for make-up removal), makeup pads & Q-tips.
We've added bathrobe hooks and a wall-mounted magnifying beauty mirror to the wall.
You’ll find a blow dryer, straightening iron and curling iron under the sink & a few other extra.
At the entrance to the townhouse, the POWDER ROOM is on your left with a first-aid-kit under the sink.
WASHING MACHINE & DRYER:
We have installed front load, energy-efficient, full-size washer and dryer in the upstairs laundry closet. There is laundry detergent, softener, bleach, stain remover, Oxi-clean powder and Bounce sheets for you to use. You’ll also find an iron, steam iron and ironing board if needed.
PRIVATE PARKING AND GARAGE:
We have a private parking spot labeled #119 which is located across the parking lot from our unit, about a 10 second walk from our front door.
You can also use the single car garage which we have installed a quiet belt-driven electric garage opener.
There are little kid’s chairs in the garage, pails & shovels and a few random pool toys/pool noodles, as well as a pump to blow up your pool toys.
OUR RESORT AMENITIES…
Our friendly ON-SITE MANAGER and her team can assist you, should you have any issues or concerns. Office hours is 10 am to 5 pm.
As our guests, you have access to our HEATED SWIMMING POOL AND HOT TUB in the enclosed area with sun umbrellas and loungers.
Open May long weekend until Thanksgiving in October.
Our resort has PRIVATE 300' LAKE ACCESS/BEACH with a large grassy area, sandy bays for kids to play in, & a roped off swimming area for our guests' safety. The code to our private beach is displayed on the back of the door.
Our PRIVATE BOAT DOCK has slips for up to 14 boats. (No buoy moorage allowed anywhere along the resort's beach front areas). Contact management at the front desk and ask for availability. $30 per day or $175 per week, paid to management.
WE'RE PET FRIENDLY:
We're dog lovers & pet parents, therefore our townhouse is pet friendly to well-mannered, house-trained dogs.
DOGS ARE PERMITTED ON APPROVAL ONLY.
A non-refundable pet fee of $105 for first pet and $52.50 for second pet will be charged for length of your stay. Please confirm at time of reservation.
Pets must be spayed/neutered & have their current vaccinations, including their rabies shots. Sorry, no cats.
*** Departure Day... Please take out your trash, bottles & recycling. Start dishwasher & wash any heavily soiled pots/pans.
Any garbage, recycling & dishes left, I'm charged an additional fee from my cleaner, which I will have to PASS ONTO YOU.***
TAXES charged are 16%...
5% GST, 8% PST (Hotel Accommodation Tax) and 3% MRDT (Municipal & Regional District Tax to the Town of Osoyoos).
NO TAX charged on monthly rentals during low season.
A cleaning fee of $230 is charged for ALL stays.

Hi! We're Rod and Romana Van Lissum.
In the summer of 2007, we were invited by family to spend the weekend at a cabin in Big White. That weekend we drove around the Okanagan heading towards Oliver, visiting local wineries. Instead of backtracking, we continued through Osoyoos and ended up bumming around this adorable little town. As we headed back to Big White, we stopped to marvel the view from the Anarchist Mountain Look-out Point and vowed to each other that we would one day return to this little gem of a town.
In 2010, we purchased our first motorhome and headed to NK Mip RV Campground. We return every summer & stay lakeside; we love the heat, we love the sun & we love the warm lake.
In 2019, Rod had the crazy idea of "just looking into the market and see what is for sale." We contacted local realtor, Alina Lovin, picked her brain on vacation rental information and before we drove home, we were the proud owners of condo #210 in Casa Del Mila Oro in Osoyoos, BC.
We enjoy spending our time at the condo when it’s not rented to guests. During this time, we visit friends who own a townhouse in the same complex. Owning a vacation rental with lakeview has always been Rod’s dream and it became a reality in Dec 2021 when we had the opportunity to purchase townhouse #119!
