"Jeff, Thank you for the kind words that you shared about The Emerson Estate. We do feel like we have a highly curated interior with an emphasis on entertaining and guest comfort. With that being said, your last comment was one that took me by surprise, and I do feel the need to address it herein. It was with great amounts of care and intention that we offered you our staffing services during your stay since it was a special occasion, and you were booking at the last minute for your Wife's 50th Birthday gathering. As I said at the beginning, all work times were estimates, and the final charges would be based on the total number of hours that were worked at the property. You added a number of different things to the weekend, which was not limited to: extra courses, extra guests, extra barware, and so on. All of these components required extra time for preparation and/or cleaning. The Chef was in plain sight of you all weekend, so I know that you are aware of how hard she worked, as well as the 20 free hours that I contributed personally to your event out of sheer good will. In the end, you decided to: A- arbitrarily NOT pay for all of the hours that were billed B- electively not leave ANY gratuity C- excuse yourself from paying the upholstery cleaning in full due to a coffee spill D- conveniently not bring the agreed upon amount of money with you in person that was to pay for services prior to your departure, instead we had to wait 5 days on Zelle.
