The Gorges du Verdon is a natural wonder located in Provence, France, on the border of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and Var departments. Often called the "Grand Canyon of Europe," this spectacular site was carved by the Verdon River over millennia.

   

A Grand and Unique Landscape  

Europe's Largest Canyon: With limestone cliffs reaching up to 700 meters deep, the Gorges stretch for 25 kilometers. The canyon offers breathtaking panoramic views, with the Verdon River winding below in an emerald-blue-green color. The Lakes: As the river exits the canyon, it forms several large lakes, including the famous Lake of Sainte-Croix and Lake of Esparron-de-Verdon. These turquoise bodies of water are perfect for swimming and water activities. Scenic Drives: To admire the scale of the area, several roads run along the Gorges, offering spectacular viewpoints. The Route des Crêtes is particularly famous for its 14 viewpoints overlooking the canyon.

Climbing: With over 900 equipped routes, the Gorges are considered one of Europe's climbing capitals, attracting both beginners and advanced climbers. Whether you're looking for adventure or serenity, the Gorges du Verdon offers an exceptional setting and preserved nature for an unforgettable experience.

One car included in the price - additional car at extra cost (maximum 1 car per rental). Minimum 2-night rental in low season. Rental every day of the week in high season (7 days minimum).

 

For your peace of mind, our campsite offers cancellation insurance, which means that you will be reimbursed up to 70% of the sums paid in the event of cancellation, even without justification.
