Cucumber Tree Lodge is a spacious and elegant home in the historic Valle Crucis community, the heart of the High Country, conveniently `between Boone and Banner Elk. This accommodating lodge is a unique retreat, nestled into the mountainside, overlooking distant ridgelines and the valley below. Designed with warm wood details, a cozy double-sided wood fireplace, and ample seating around a large HDTV, the living room is a welcoming hub for this home. The high vaulted wood ceilings feature barn-style beams and intricate artisan details.

The kitchen has high-end stainless appliances and space to gather around a large island. There is seating for 18 at multiple tables and the kitchen island, with an additional dining table outside on the covered porch. The hot tub is on the open porch outside the main living area, with Adirondack chairs and a fire table to enjoy nearby. The lower-level porch features abundant additional seating, playing space, and a ping-pong table.

The lower-level family room has a pool table, a convertible game/poker table with a complete set of poker chips, an HDTV, a second kitchen, a small bar area, and two additional bedrooms.

There is parking for five (5) vehicles. There is no means of charging electric cars at Cucumber Tree Lodge. The home is off a privately-maintained gravel road with proximity to the main roads. **4WD or AWD is necessary during the winter months.**
There is a Ring doorbell and security camera installed on the portico post that faces the driveway.

This home is just a few short miles/minutes from the historic Mast General store and the Valle Crucis Community Park. The park boasts multiple playgrounds, basketball courts, soccer fields, walking trails, and access to the Watauga River for fishing, swimming, and floating. Other nearby attractions include:
