Just the right size for a couple, or a small group. Location was perfect, right next to some small trails, close to town but a feeling of being in a cabin in the woods. Just what we were looking for! Was sad to have not seen as much wildlife or to utilize the back porch, but it was cold and rainy, no fault of the host.
We loved our stay. The location is walking distance to town. Everyone was so friendly and nice. The house was great for the weekend. The owner was great with communication and friendly.
We started here for out granddaughter wedding We brought our dog it was nice because of a doggie door and fenced in backyard. We wanna come back and stay here when the weather gets warm so we can take advantage of the nice trails and parks behind the place.
What a great little place. Excellent location (there are a couple of nice walks/hikes right out the door and it’s walking distance from downtown Madison). Very cute place. The host is responsiive.
Def thinking of returning
Cute little place, close to downtown. Parking on property a plus. Fenced in yard and dog friendly a plus. Wifi with Netflix etc available, came in handy when it rained. Lots of great communication by owner, who kept us updated with things to do around town, band/events etc. Would stay again.
We all enjoyed our stay at Sue's cottage. Being close to hiking trail was a huge plus for me and clifty falls is just a few minutes up the road. House was extremely clean and host was easy to contact. Hope to stay here again some day.
We decided last minute to ask about staying at the property. The owner was quick to respond. Fast forward to the end of the week and we ended up with sick kids and possible bad weather coming in so I notified homeowner night before. She was very understanding.
Just passing through. Cute place. Great location. No frills but a comfortable and clean bed. Couch could use a deep cleaning and mold mildew was an issue for me. Not everyone has those p
We loved the space and the location was very private for being downtown.
Relaxing on the deck surrounded by huge trees gave you the feeling that you were high up in a treehouse.
It was quiet and peaceful and just perfect for recharging our batteries.❤️
The cottage is right next to a small parking area with trails. We would have loved exploring the trails more and enjoying the peaceful, private deck. Unfortunately, hurricane Helene turned everything into a muddy, slippery mess. That didn’t stop us from enjoying downtown Madison though, which is an easy walk from the cabin.
We would definitely stay here again, hopefully when the weather is more cooperative!
Perfect for just me and my dog. It was a work trip and it rained the entire time but that was, of course, no fault of the host. The town was adorable, within walking distance with plenty of options. Visited the coffee shops, antique shops and a couple bar restaurants. I would love to come back again but this time on a vacation and with better weather.
It's perfect for a little quiet getaway. Spent more time down by the river watching the boat races so we didn't check much out in the town. Guess we'll just have to come back again. I loved all the old buildings. Madison is a quaint city.
First time in Madison and Sue’s Cottage was the perfect home for the 2 of us and our pup. Step out the door and you’re on the Heritage Trail. Cottage has everything to make it a home. Easy communications before, during and after arrival. We’ll be back this spring!
This property in Madison Indiana is very quaint and conveniently located. The Heritage Trail is behind the property and leads to the river walk. It is close to downtown and Clifty Falls. It was very clean and comfortable. This was our first getaway with our dog. There is a nice enclosed area for a dog but we did not use it with there being walkable areas so close by.
If we visit Madison again we will definitely see if this cottage is available.
