Beautiful semi-private cabin situated directly infront of the pond. There is so much to do here if your not the relaxing type. The pond has a beach. Catch and release fishing at the stocked pond, and much more. There are 2 other cabins and 2 houses on this 30 acre property. Each cabin sits on approximately 5 acres giving you the nature experience but also close to enough to venture to a restaurant if needed.

We had a great stay. It was private and peaceful. VERY pretty scenery with the pond. The hot tub was so relaxing. Especially at night under the stars. The cabin was nice and clean. Glamping at its best! We are looking forward to staying there again in the future.
The property offered excellent privacy, making it a perfect retreat. The pond was beautiful, providing a serene spot to float and relax all weekend. Ending our nights in the hot tub was a fantastic experience. Overall, it was a wonderful getaway."
We had a great stay. The cabin is clean and private. The property is beautiful and hot tub was nice. This was the most relaxing weekend away we’ve had. Would definitely come back again.
We had an awesome time staying here with the beautiful view and innovative features like motion lights, outdoor hot tub and a beach for my 5 year old to play on. Great for wildlife and birding. Only thing was we could not figure out the lock for the door, the wifi code did not work, and the water heater to the outside shower did not work. Recommend checking on those things. We were busy with all the activities in the area but did enjoy our time there.
I stayed 5 days over the July 4th holiday weekend with my dog hoping to get away from the fireworks of my subdivision and give myself and my dog some needed relaxation. However that isn't what I got. There were a host of issues that contributed to the lack of peace and privacy. The owners children as well as renters kept driving 4 wheelers by my cabin while attempting to take a shower. A family of 5 came to my cabin to fish and have a picnic with all my gear nearby. The owners shot off fireworks for over an hour that rattled the walls of the cabin. Also the hot water in the shower did not work and the toilet hadn't been emptied in a long time. The johnny on the spot was covered in flies and the stench of waste could be smelled all around the cabin. The wifi password was wrong, there were no plates, glasses or dish towels/dish rags or a trash can or trash bags. Even more annoying was the latch to lock the cabin when leaving or at night DID NOT WORK which is unacceptable. Four wheelers and fireworks could be heard from renters every single night so it was never quiet. The pics showed a deep freeze which was not there so keep that in mind. There is no dimmer or lamp so at night it's either blinding bright or completely dark. The only positive thing was the town of Park Hills was super cute and the location to nearby state parks ie St Joe's and St Francois. I would definitely visit Park Hills again but I would not stay on this property.
This place was great, seen plenty of deer and other wildlife out there!! I didn’t do any fishing but during the day, watching all the catfish at the surface swimming slowly around was fun. The owners are great to deal with and I had an issue with a water heater and it was taken care of right away.
For an affordable retreat, we were impressed with the stay! Some of the furnishings had seen some better days but it was a mostly minor inconvenience. The bottom bunk bed was unfortunately broken when we arrived but we also understand that sometimes unexpected things just happen. No big! The amenities otherwise were very nice and we were glad they were available - e.g. outdoor shower, flat top grill, etc. The only thing that was a bit of a disappointment was the AC unit. Even though it did a pretty great job of cooling down the space at night, it was still brutally hot during the day and we were hoping for more of a reprieve from the heat wave. Altogether, we enjoyed our stay a lot and look forward to coming back! Perhaps in the winter so we can take advantage of the hot tub.
I booked my stay for a hiking trip I had planned to many of the nearby trails. This was perfect for exactly that. Conveniently located for all my hikes and a nice place to sit down and rest at the end of a day.
Everything was great. Very clean !wonderful veiw of the stars ! Great privacy ! The hot tub under the veiw of the stars was amazing . I would highly reccomend !
My husband and I stayed here a few years back when the owner had just begun doing vrbo, and we had an excellent stay back then and this time!! It’s the perfect place for you and your partner to kick back, and the dogs love it too!
There have been some changes since the property pictures were taken. For instance, we were pleasantly suprised to see a full size bunk bed, but no recliner or gas fire pit outside(which was no big deal at all just something we noticed) Property and Porta-potty were clean. I'm glad I packed like for when camping as there weren't paper towels, paper plates or trashbags available. Which we could have bought at Dollar General or wal-mart had I not brought them (so again, no big deal). We didn't have any luck catching any fish but it was still fun to try. The hot tub was a great way to enjoy the sunset and watch the stars show themselves.
Prior to arrival, Kevin was very responsive and I'm quite certain he would have done the same while we were there. Overall, we had a great stay and would 100% come back again!
We went to get away from the city and enjoy some quiet and privacy. Enjoyed the pond view and the dragon flies! The cabin was nice and cool which was great considering it was a little toasty outside. If you are looking for a nice weekend getaway this is a great spot.
Also close to some really nice trails.
Location is beautiful and quiet. It's private but still near plenty of activities. Loved our stay there and definitely on the list to return to for a longer visit. Super helpful binder with things to do and faqs answered.
Second time staying here. We stayed the first time for our anniversary and thought our kids would love it. So we booked this trip for a family weekend getaway. We again enjoyed the property and our kids did as well. Its private and you feel like your in the middle of no where but your not far from stores. During our stay we stopped at Scoops for ice cream and on our way home we stopped at RaeColes Coffee Bar and i would recommend both places. Also recommend checking out the Lead Wood Access and Big River Access both worth seeing and not far from the cabin. We had a very relaxing weekend and probably one of the best trips we have taken and we will definitely be back in the future. We love this place.
We had a very quiet and peaceful stay. Everything was pleasant. We enjoyed not being around others but if we wanted to we were only a few minutes from society.
The wifi and tv worked, but we barely used them.
