This place was dirty. Peanut butter on the walls, cheese on the stools, trash under the couch pillows, dirty linens on one of the beds. The floor was black. My 11 month old crawled on it for about 10 mins before we realized how bad it was. We mopped the entire floor ourselves and even after that it was still slimy and black. This place needs to be taken apart, cleaned professionally, and put back together with new things. The grill was old and barely together. The rugs are so matted down i dont think they have ever been vacuumed. The owner didn’t seem surprised or apologetic when confronted about the lack of cleanliness.
This was our 6th stay at Portofino and while you can tell the entire resort is getting older, its still a great place, great location, and phenomenal staff. We love this resort.
However, I would’ve downsized rooms or changed my view to a bayside had I known how dirty this particular rental was. Extremely upsetting for how much money was spent.
