About this property

Apartments and studios in a stone house in the sunny south of France

The "Résidence de l'Acacia" offers people who prefer old stone walls to anonymous hotel complexes, space for relaxation and the adventure of their own discoveries in one of the most charming and varied landscapes in southern France. , , in the . , , P R O V E N E G A R D O I S E
Here we have discovered an ancient country house, which offers everything we have been looking for a long time. It lies on the edge of the village and its two entrances offer many possibilities:
An entrance is open to the old village center of St. André, which facilitates the contact with the friendly villagers, with their Mediterranean way of life and the unmistakable "Accent du Midi". On the "Grand 'Place", in the village restaurant or if the butcher honked a little chat is kept. St. André means seemingly forgotten angles with magnificent flowers between ancient stones; in hidden courtyards palms that promise a mild climate almost year round.

Another entrance opens the way to original nature: marked walking and hiking trails lead directly from our property through lavender fields and vineyards (here grows the famous Côte - du - Rhone), past olive and fig trees and through the scrubland; Mediterranean lighting, unforgettable nighttime starry sky and the scent of the "herbs of Provence" that grow around the house.

Do you understand why we stayed here?
, , , on foot you can reach
deep ravines, through which crystal-clear water (rich in fish) squeezes, rapids and waterfalls, bizarre rocks for climbers, caves, grottos and a clean gravel beach on the bridge over the Cèze (10 minutes walk from the residence), where swimmers, anglers and canoeists frolic in the summer.
Nevertheless, St. Andres spares the mass tourism - and that should remain so, so that the peace and tranquility is preserved.
In our house are apartments in different sizes available.
Please be prepared inwardly for the simplicity of the house and the village, do not expect a luxurious resort of international style. We try a kind of gentle tourism, together with the inhabitants. , ,

In the historic natural stone vault "Grande salle", we have created a lounge for all guests, so you can sit down with your friends even in bad weather or too hot.
During the school holidays we sometimes make special offers, depending on the season and guests' wishes, eg. Guided walks, climbing, sightseeing, cave exploration (do not forget torch in luggage), campfire, storytelling, etc. The current program can be found on the information board of the common room.
A popular meeting place is the large terrace in the courtyard, where on request, easy contact can be made. Sometimes our guests spontaneously organize small barbecues, unforgettable especially for the children. Why not try together the good wine of the region? Barbecue. JPG (608705 bytes)
If you prefer peace and solitude, you will find on the large property directly behind our house or in the extensive, unspoilt nature throughout the year a quiet place (marked trails directly from our private car park).
For children and adolescents there are many adventures waiting to be passed. Trees want to be climbed and so many "camps" built. Without danger from traffic you can let them play; Often metropolitan children became adventurers here who spent hours learning about stones, sticks and pocket knives. It is mostly the children who ask their parents to make a reservation again next year to meet their new friends of the "Résidence de l'Acacia".
On hot days, water has an irresistible magnetism for all ages. Our small pool is for the "refreshment in between" thought (longer distances you can swim in the Cèze, also within walking distance). Sunbeds and garden chairs are at your disposal, around the pool and in the garden under the trees.

sanfter Tourismus in herrlicher Umgebung
