CBJ Registration #: CBJ1000242

Newly remodeled, 2 story, modern home located in the heart of the Mendenhall Valley - minutes from endless summer and winter adventures.

The space:
The open concept floorplan is ideal for guests to be able to gather on the main floor and still be able to enjoy some privacy by going upstairs to one of the 6 private bedrooms. The entry, grand living room, kitchen, formal dining area, 1/2 bath and cozy TV living room are located on the 1st floor. The bedrooms are all located on the 2nd. The open-concept and newly remodeled entertaining space sets this property above the rest, where you can soak in the majesty of nature in the Alaskan outdoors all day and retire to this spacious abode each evening. The master suite is an oasis all on its own – the king size bed is one of the most comfortable aspects of the space. Relax and enjoy the 70” wall mounted flat screen tv or step into the master bathroom to enjoy the frameless glass steam shower with rain feature shower head.

You’ll find everything you need to truly feel like you’re at a home away from home. Hard surface flooring throughout helps keep the space clean. The home has a kids corner of books and toys to keep your little ones entertained for hours each day! Kids can venture outdoors to the fully fenced backyard to find an expansive cedar playground. The home is equipped with 2 pack n plays, high chair, and a dining table booster seat to help make your children comfortable and safe. There is also an extra folding table and chairs for extra eating/seating space.
**Please take note of rooms and sleeping arrangements - the home has designated beds to sleep up to 14 and a queen sized air mattress to sleep an additional 2.**

Outdoor adventures are endless in this beautiful region. Countless miles of hiking, skiing/snowboarding, and exploring is just at your fingertips. It’s a great jumping point for all of the activities in Southeast Alaska; glacier tours, cruise ships, fishing charters. Check out the Goldbelt Tram for views that can’t be beat or experience the flight scene with a helicopter tour! The possibilities are endless, and I’d love to have you make my home your home base as you experience Alaska!

Guest access:
The entire home is designated for guest use. The garage/studio apartment will generally be vacant, but locked. The garage and shed area is off limits to guests

Security Cameras:
There are 3 cameras facing the front of the property, this helps us monitor the property from out of state and ensure guest safety as bears are known to frequent the property.

Another Great Year
We enjoy this property with friends when we come to JNU to ski in the winter. It is spacious for our large group. The only issue we have ever had is limited hot water. You better be one of the first 3 to shower or it gets cold. We highly recommend this property.

Family Alaska Adventure
We took our family of 13 to Alaska and thoroughly enjoyed Kayla's beautiful home in Mendenhall Valley. It was the nicest, best equipped VRBO we have ever stayed in. Kayla was very responsive and thorough. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone considering visiting Juneau!

Superior Stay!
One of the nicest homes we have stayed in. Excellent location, we wanted to be in a quieter area and closer to the Glacier. Peaceful neighborhood. The sleeping arraignments worked out perfect for our group, tons of sleeping space and an accurate description. Kayla was beyond helpful. She definitely went the extra mile to make our stay perfect. We had a surprise engagement and she graciously accepted a grocery delivery and offered up numerous suggestions for the surprise. The house was spotless and stocked with many amenities. A major bonus was the steam shower!!! Life Changing. Thank you Kayla for kicking off a once in a lifetime trip to Alaska. We appreciate all you did for us Wish we could rate you higher than a five star!

Fabulous!!
This place was so amazing to stay at with a large group. 10 of us were here and never had any issues. Comfortable beds, nice areas to hang out both inside and out. Well stocked kitchen for cooking needs. We would definitely stay here again! Close to airport and Mendenhall Valley. We spent equal time in auke Bay and Juneau so this was perfectly in between. Don't pass this up if you have a larger group!!

Hello! My name is Kayla and I was born and raised in beautiful Southeast Alaska - I am a mom to 3 little boys. We recently relocated out of state and miss our little slice of heaven - we hope you get to enjoy everything Juneau has to offer!

Why they chose this property

My husband and I purchased this property just 3 short years ago - it looked very different than the house you are seeing now. Many Juneauites have taken the time to share their childhood memories that they have of this home. It really is a treasure!

What makes this property unique

Where do I start!? The Grand Living Room is stunning with the vaulted ceilings and huge windows to take in the the Alaskan scenery. One of the most unique features of the home is the Tower, which offers a quiet oasis to enjoy a book, a cup of coffee, or sunset views from a quaint 3rd story room accessed via a ships ladder from the second story. A must see!
