The Worst

Interior of home was 85 degrees upon arrival. We waited 3 hours for the home to cool. It was 84 degrees after 3 hours. The host was unwilling to assist. We left and found accommodations elsewhere.

Well... you get what you pay for. In all fairness, I did try and communicate dissatisfaction before posting a negative review... sent pics and response was "I understand, Heather. I'll have these thoroughly checked with cleaner." IMHO, not great customer service. It all started with the reservation process... which another reviewer commented on, many questions and back and forths~ understandable, no one wants their property trashed. Not sure if I was communicating with a chat bot or human when we were inquiring about a possible early check in... but got three different responses AND prices. It was confusing and frustrating. Ok... now for the unit. ~the location was fantastic. Very walkable and quiet pretty quiet. ~I will fully take ownership of my expectations... but the DEEP cleanliness of this place... just EW. The fans in bathrooms, the tiles, the floors, the furniture...walls were in rough shape, carpet on stairs... ~beds were clean, pillows were FLAT {again, I fully realize this is personal preference, however several of us woke up every morning with headaches!} I literally offered to pay for a hotel the last night... at that point no one wanted to move. One person's opinion, I did come home and look at VRBO photos to compare and what I saw was not what we got.

Comfortable, spacious and quiet Wicker Park Apt

Property exactly as advertised. Bonus was location and (three blocks) to a grocery store. Cooked thanksgiving for six. Kitchen adequate yet sparse: mixing bowls storage equipment ect. Bought a potato masher haha. Suggest extra blankets for every room in winter as there were only two for four beds. Exceptionally comfortable space.

Host is sketchy BE CAREFUL

The host had very sketchy behavior They refused to send check in information They called and asked several personal and intrusive questions… They then canceled the reservation just hours before our arrival leaving us without a place to stay We filed a complaint with VRBO

Never stayed due to no air conditioning in upper floor

We are trying to get a refund as the house was inadequately climatized and we had aged people as well young children staying in the upper floor where the 3 of 4 bedrooms are located. The weather was over 100+ degrees for 3 of 4 days we were booked for.

Great location for Wicker Park

Nice apartment in Wicker Park. Plenty of space and nice kitchen. Parking is on the street and not guaranteed, but that’s expected for the location. It is on the third floor with no elevator. Again that’s how most places are in this area. Everything was as listed and met what we needed for our trip.

Great location and very spacious!

My family and I traveled to Chicago for a concert, and this apartment was just what we needed! Clean, close to everything, plenty of room, and the host provided more than enough towels & wash cloths for our group, which was much appreciated! Two of the rooms were a little warmer than the rest, but a fan in each one would have done the trick. Thank you!

Hidden Gem!!!

Loved everything about the property. Came from Michigan via Amtrak. Took an Uber to the property. The apartment is only blocks away from a grocery store, restaurants, and to the public transit blue line. I was a little apprehensive bringing teens to the city but it was close to everything. We bought a transit pass and got everywhere we needed to within 15-20 minutes. The apartment has everything we needed. Towels. Clean linens. Dishes. Tissues. Paper towels. It was very clean. The only thing people should be aware of is the amount of steps to get to the third floor. But other than that this is an amazing place I’d recommend over and over again. Hosts were communicating throughout the process. Thank you for the wonderful stay !!

ULTIMATELY THE BEST!

Words can’t describe how happy we were when we made this trip. I am so grateful to have booked this unit. The unit was as described and we truly enjoyed the amenities the unit offers. We had an amazing time. This unit deserves a 5-star! I can’t wait to go back and enjoy as many activities in the area! Wonderful Stay in Wicker Park

This place is in a quiet neighborhood but only a few minutes from lots of restaurants and shops. Very convenient. The apartment has two levels and lots of space (four bedrooms). In addition, the hosts were responsive and fast and ensured we were doing well. We had a wonderful stay and I highly recommend this rental.

Nice property, but beware of steps.

Overall, this is a nice place to stay. PLEASE be advised there are 2 long flights of steep steps to get to the property, then once inside, there are 3 bedrooms and 1 bath on second floor which is another long flight of steep steps. Minimal kitchen supplies, but doable:) Check in and out process very simple. Hostess Jeselle was very prompt and friendly before, during, and after our stay.

Wonderful apartment!

Our family wanted to check out Chicago for a few days over spring break, and this apartment was a comfortable place to stay. The apartment is spacious and clean - just be careful as there are quite a few stairs to climb. It was about a 15 min drive to the Chicago attractions we saw so very convenient. Also thank you to the property team for accommodating our late booking. Although it took some time to confirm, everyone was very friendly.

Up, up and again

Nice property. Steep 2 story climb. Hauling luggage and dog walks are made difficult by the steep climb. Property management team was persistent, almost bothersome about confirming when we arrived.
