About this property

Gite Amethyst

The cottage is in the Vézère valley, located in the Dordogne, is a must-see destination for lovers of nature, history and gastronomy. Criss-crossing this bucolic valley, the Vézère river winds through the heart of grandiose landscapes, bordered by steep cliffs and lush forests. But the Vézère is above all a valley steeped in history: major prehistoric sites such as Lascaux make it the cradle of prehistory and cave art. In addition to its treasures of the past, picturesque medieval villages with winding streets, majestic castles and outdoor activities await you at every bend.
In addition to its natural and cultural treasures, the Vézère valley will delight your taste buds with its renowned gastronomic specialities. Foie gras, duck confit, Périgord truffles, potato pâté... The gastronomic tables will sublimate these regional delicacies, to be enjoyed with a glass of Bergerac. As for the farmers' and local markets, they will allow you to bring back tasty local products
