About this property
Charming holiday home in southern French wine village
The house is located in the oldest part of the winegrowing village. It looks like a small tower on a boulder. The living and sleeping areas are on three levels, on the ground floor living and dining room with a terrace, kitchen and bathroom in front, on the mezzanine the 1 bedroom with a double bed, above it the 2 bedrooms with 2 single beds,
from which you have a wide view of the valley. The house is equipped with restored old furniture and was restored in 2005. It has its charm, among other things, because the ground floor rooms are made of medieval vaults, which means pulling the head in at two places. The house is therefore pleasantly cool in summer. Below the terrace is a small garden for barbecuing and sunbathing. The house is in a hamlet with 7 houses, very quiet, at the end of a cul-de-sac, but only 500 meters from the center.
In the garden shed you will find comfortable garden furniture, a grill and deck chairs for relaxing and sunbathing
to bathe.
Eldorado for wine lovers: the village lies in the center of the appellation 'Pic Saint Loup', one of the crus of the wines of the Languedoc. Approx. 40 private winegrowers and 2 cooperatives produce high-class wines that receive prizes and awards annually at national and international exhibitions. The wines can be tasted at the winemakers and various wine events and wine festivals.
Pure sport in nature: Although Lauret is only a 35-minute drive from the cities of Nimes and Montpellier, it is an oasis of calm and the starting point for many activities in the nature of southern France. The area has hardly been developed for tourism, hikers, riders, climbers and cyclists will find ideal conditions for their sporting passion here between March and October. But also more unusual sports are offered here: gliding and paragliding around the slopes of the Pic Saint Loup and the Montagne de Hortus, playing golf on well-tended courses in the middle of the garrigue, caving and rock grotto visits, canoe tours in the gorges of the Herault.
Culture; The region offers countless festivals in the summer months from June to September.
In July the Avignon Theater Festival. From June to September, Arles is the focus of the photo exhibition.
From June you can attend international music events, open air, in picturesque places like that
Arena in Nimes, in old quarries or in the theater by the sea in Sete.
Village festivals; The South begins to celebrate from Easter, there is always a reason. Every place has its -Fete votive-
where there are many celebrations. Petanque competitions also invite strangers to try.
and the Camargue riders show their art of driving a group of bulls through the place,
without being stolen. That is why this program item is also called - Bandido.
In the evening a band always plays and invites you to dance, you eat together on long boards under plane trees
or in the market place.
