Kitchen was fully eqipped with anything we needed to make a meal. We ate breakfast for supper since there were fresh yard eggs supplied! The home was fully furnished and super comfy and relaxing! The shower did make a funny noise that kind of scared us for a second until we realized what it was :)The home was clean, and the beds were perfectly fitting for all 7 of us! Absolutely kid-friendly, so many board games, we didn't get to play due to being super exhausted from a 20-hour drive. The kids did get to enjoy the basketball area and loved the pond!We went to experience the Ark Encounter and Museum and was definitely not enough time, I think Ill come back on my own next time! haha
The Albers respect your privacy, but will respond to any needs you have during your stay. For a small town "Welcome In" , grab breakfast or BBQ lunch at Kelly Q's in nearby Walton. Try the goetta, especially if you like scrapple.
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was nice & very clean. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The bed was comfortable. Great rural location with equal driving time to both the Creation Museum & Ark Encounter. Good communication with the hosts.
Delightful location in peaceful surroundings! Clean and welcoming! Great communication and consideration!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return!
Home was very clean, well kept, nicely furnished/decorated, and very comfortable. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again if we were on a trip in the area.
Wonderful place to stay, convenient to the Arc and creation museum and cincinnati zoo. The grand baby loved the sheep and chickens. It was a very peaceful getaway.
Great location near the Creation Museum...the Ark Encounter...and more. Very clean and comfortable and well stocked. So peaceful. Iwners are incredibly responsive and kind.
We enjoyed our stay at Bluegrass Blessings. It was just the right size for our family. We were looking for a bit of a smaller rental since our 14 month old loves to explore. The property was beautiful and we loved seeing all the animals. The house was well stocked with all the essentials. The location was perfectly located between the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum.
This place is great! I highly recommend. It was the perfect distance from Florence and the Ark and the airport and the creation museum and Lexington. It's right in the middle of everything we needed! It was the cleanest, most well kept VRBO we have stayed at. Prefect place to relax for our family. The hosts are especially kind, enjoyed the fresh eggs and seeing the sheep each day.
The house was very accommodating and clean, except for 2 coffee cups that were not clean.Green mugs were clean!!Very good details on what you expected from us as guests….. clean up, etc.Les & Deb
This was a very nice place to spend a few nights while visiting the Ark and the Creation Museum. It's a spacious upstairs unit with a view of rolling hills and pastures, a well-supplied kitchen and bathroom, and comfortable beds. The kids enjoyed the basketball goal by the driveway and as we walked around the property we saw sheep, ducks and chickens. We would definitely consider staying here again.
My family were hoping to get a good peaceful week away from home and that’s what we got. Grocery stores are less than 10 minutes. The ark and Cincinnati are a short (30 min) drive. It is a Fantastic spot.
Bluegrass Blessing is definately a blessing. My husband and I along with 2grandsons visited both the Creation Museum & the Ark encounter. This peaceful place was perfectly located between them. We enjoyed friendly baby lambs, ducks & dragonflies on the pond, free range chickens. Even awakened by the resident rooster, then ate some delicious farm fresh eggs for breakfast. The accommodations were perfect, making meals in fully equipped kitchen & enjoying chats on porch swing as boys played basketball. Very enjoyable weekend !
This place was the best for our needs. It sits halfway between the Creation Museum and the Ark Experience.
There were also many stores and restaurants close by.
The owner was wonderful and answered all our questions. The place was nice and clean. We enjoyed staying outside of town and watching the sheep and chickens. Homeowner also gifted us a dozen fresh farm eggs. We would gladly stay here again if we ever return to this area.
It was just as expected from the pictures. It was spacious for the 3 of us but could sleep 6. It was easy to find but off the beaten path. It was between the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter as described. We recommend the 3 day pass as the Ark takes 2 days to see.
Would stay here again.
The Shorts
We enjoyed our stay! The kids loved the chickens and sheep and geese. The place was clean and stocked with more than we expected including linens, pots and pans, utensils, even spices and coffee. There was a baby gate, stroller, and pack and play. Board games and kids games. Its centrally located to Ark and Creation Museum and Cincinnati Zoo. It was also within a two hour drive to see the eclipse in Indiana. Highly recommend this place.
Truly a wonderful place to stay halfway between the ark and the Creation Museum would recommend to anyone super clean. We will recommend this to anyone we know that plans on coming to the ark and the Creation Museum. One of our favorite things was saying good morning to the chickens, and the fresh chicken eggs Emily and Joe left for us so delicious. Thank you for sharing your little Slice of Heaven. Blessings on you and your family.

This property is a working sheep and chicken farm. Farm fresh eggs are available from the diverse flock of chickens free ranging on site. Two large fenced pastures have numerous sheep grazing for photo ops and the males will venture over to allow a face and ear rub if you are patient in calling them over. 2nd floor garage apartment with well equipped kitchen, two bedrooms, well suited for family of two adults and two children. Streaming TV. WIFI. One bath, large multi-purpose room for dining, TV video and gaming, great cabinet full of board games. Leave the window open a bit and no need for an alarm clock - roosters have you covered. Frequent freight trains add to the rural ambience with the nostalgic sounding of the horn at grade crossings. Book this property for a farm-styled getaway with convenience to Cincinnati attractions.
Property is second floor garage apartment requiring one flight of steps for access, well lit deck porch around entrance allows for after dark arrival. Surroundings are a working sheep farm with shepherding canine on duty, several out buildings and the owner's residence. Large, private, not included in rental, pond/lake on site - attractive for migrating and local, resident waterfowl for ornithologists. Also there is an active free range chicken flock with chicken coop complex on site with a nice assortment of various breeds. Owner allows feeding of the chickens and geese on request, and fresh eggs are available for purchase when available. Owner maintains a private household garden in season, visible from apartment deck. Property is well appointed, plenty of kitchen equipment and dishes/glasses, good streaming/internet access, definitely clean and quiet. Best breakfast in Walton is Kelly Q's - try the cousin of Philadelphia scrapple - "goetta" with your eggs & pancakes. Bonus audio assets - Morning rooster calls and periodic train whistles from an isolated freight line about a mile away for railroad enthusiasts. Nothing better than hearing a train when you come from an area which lacks that traditionally rural sound.
