Absolutely gorgeous place to stay. Our family (7 people) LOVED our vacation in Maui. The condo was spacious and beautiful. 3 full baths, tons of room, comfy beds, AMAZING porch overlooking the ocean. We made many meals using grill right on deck. Also enjoyed eating at Dukes which was steps away from the condo. The pool and beach were also amazing. Best part - Evelyn - the owner - was so helpful and responsive. Honestly felt like she truly cared about us and our comfort and enjoyment. Really hope we get to return one day.

This property is fantastic with stunning views of the ocean. It is on a great resort with many different pools, Duke’s Restaurant, quick access to the beach, and friendly staff. This is perfect for a family vacation - we had an age range of 3-80 and everyone enjoyed thoroughly. Unfortunately, the check in process was a bit unclear and we did have some trouble getting into the condo. Arriving at 11 pm with a tired toddler and not hearing back from the host, was a bit frustrating. Thankfully security was aware we’d be arriving, was able to validate our identity and let us in relatively smoothly. Turns out the host had a family emergency and was very apologetic. As a token of appreciation for the delay, the host graciously provided a gift card for Duke’s Restaurant which was much appreciated. Overall, the host was wonderful throughout the stay, offering suggestions/advice on things to do in the area. I would definitely return here with family!

Great place to stay

We had a great time here. The location is perfect for activities we were interested in. Whale watching, 4 wheeling and swimming. There were lots of places to eat around the condos with great food.

We had a fabulous time in Maui! This condo was just like the pictures, clean, everything working with incredible views from the balcony. I had several communications with the owner prior to the trip and she was very responsive. Overall, I highly recommend this place.

Phenomenal Property

This is an absolutely beautiful property! The condo has 3 large bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. The kitchen was appointed with high-end (Viking) appliances and had everything we needed to cook during our stay. The living area was comfortable and spacious. We had a group of 7, which included 4 adults and 3 children, and never felt cramped. The outdoor grill and patio was perfect for morning coffee breaks while watching the whales and enjoying outdoor dinners. The location could not be beat! We had expansive ocean views and were right next to one of the best snorkeling beaches! The pools at the property were super fun and having poolside service from Duke’s was super convenient! Our host was very kind and extremely responsive. This was one of the best vacations we have ever taken.

Perfect for Traveling with Kids

Evelyn is so sweet and accommodating, and her home was absolutely perfect for our group! The view was incredible, and the home was even more spacious than I thought it would be from the pictures. We were traveling with four children, ages 4, 6, 8, and 11, and they all had an amazing time at the resort pools, slide, lazy river, etc. It was so nice for the adults to not have to drive anywhere when we wanted to have a lazy morning. There are also restaurant options both at the resort and only a short walk away. We took advantage of the fully stocked gourmet kitchen and grilling area, and we were easily able to find everything we were looking for. One of the best parts of the trip was being able to gather around the dinner table outside, be surrounded by that gorgeous view, and connect with each other. With other rentals that I've stayed at, I've always noticed a few little things that give away that the unit is a rental. Evelyn's place is the first place I've ever rented that is truly decorated and maintained as a home, and we're so thankful to her for sharing her home with us! We would love to stay here again in the future!

Amazing 1st Family Vacation in Hawaii!

I was so excited about this condo & our first Hawaiian vacation! I knew after many hours of searching I had found the condo that was beyond my wildest dreams! The Hawaii trip we’d been planning for 4 years to celebrate our youngest daughter’s HS graduation was finally becoming a reality! After looking at the pictures & anticipating being there, stepping into the condo for the first time was a magical moment! We were awestruck, & words can’t express how perfect this condo was for our family! Having already talked with Evelyn & Anthony, then seeing pictures of their family around the condo, it added a personal touch & really made me feel that their home was our home. It was decorated beautifully & was so spacious….perfect for time together & also roomy enough for your own space. Everything was top of the line & the kitchen was equipped with everything you would want. We loved cooking in the spacious kitchen & using the BBQ/kitchen on the lanai. The pools were perfect for all…..shallow areas for the kids, relaxing hot tubs, & fun on the waterslide. We enjoyed walks on the boardwalk to Black Rock, & around the lighted grounds at night. The large bathrooms with separate toilet rooms were a plus with girls getting ready for evenings out after a day at the beach & pools, with music, thanks to ihome surround sound you control in every room! After various outings it was such a blessing to have this beautiful condo to come “home” to…..we literally felt like the luckiest people on Maui! The beds were so comfortable! Loved breakfast & lunch on the lanai & playing games there at night, but my favorite place was the chairs on the front lanai. I’ll never forget that view! We were so thankful Anthony & Evelyn added the extra slider on the lanai - it was quite windy when we were there & we were able to enjoy the lanai with no wind! With grandkids, we appreciated the high chair, pack n’ play, & stroller provided, also the beach chairs, umbrella, beach toys & boogie boards, & the coded entry. I could go on & on about how special this place is. Our son-in-law said, “I’ve stayed in really nice places, but none of them were as nice as this!” So thank you Anthony & Evelyn for opening your home-away-from-home & giving us the opportunity to have such a special & memorable family vacation! I hope in the future we will be able to have another family vacation in your beautiful condo because there is nowhere in Maui I would rather be! You definitely have the prime spot on the island!

Our stay in Maui was fabulous. This unit is even more beautiful than the photos and our host was marvelous! She was friendly and professional, answering all questions kindly and promptly. The unit was well equipped with kitchen utensils and even spices for cooking. My husband loved the outdoor grill and sink. We enjoyed meals while watching beautiful sunsets. We had more than enough towels and really appreciated the cleanliness of the entire home. Our children and grandchildren had a dream vacation with us. We would love to return.

Spectacular Condominium! Our family just returned from a 10 night stay in this beautiful deluxe ocean front unit perfectly located in Honua Kai Resort. We’ve been visiting Maui since 1971, and this is one of our favorite condos. The views are amazing and the interior immaculate. It’s very well equipped with Viking and Subzero appliances, including three refrigerators, two ovens, a bbq on the deck, and lots of beach chairs and toys. Beds are perfect and air conditioning refreshing. Nice to have Duke’s restaurant right on the premises too. The five star reviews for this unit and its attentive owner Evelyn are spot on. If you’re looking for a large luxury place with spectacular views, don’t hesitate. This is it!

Excellent Stay!We stayed at this condo for a week and had a great experience. The unit was very clean, exactly as described in the listing, and located in a fantastic area—close to everything we needed. Absolutely perfect! The owner was very responsive to all communication, very generous and accommodating to special requests. Plenty of room for 3 couples to spread out and not feel like they are on top of each other. We could not be happier with our stay. We watched whales daily from the huge lanai. The property amenities were fabulous. Location is perfect for all the activities we wanted to do. Easy walk to restaurants and shopping. We will definitely rent this condo again and have already recommended it to friends. Simply fabulous!!

Beautiful place with very nice furniture and fixtures/daily living implements. The location relative to laid back bar, beach, super fun pools, snorkeling were all A. We saw pods of dolphins just chilling on the beach. Nice beqch. Highly recommend for a wide range of ages.

Family trip with a surprise engagement!

We have stayed at the Honua Kai 7 times in the past several Years, and will look no further for the best unit and owner/managers to rent from! Evelyn was an amazing host and had had the most comfortable unit we’ve ever stayed in. The views are incredible and a given, but the condo has everything you could ask for. It was our best and most comfortable vacation spot yet!
