This was a wonderful rental property. The check in was super smooth and owner made sure lights were on for us when we got in late which was so helpful.
We stayed at the cabin while visiting family over Thanksgiving. It was a sweet little home for us away from home. The grounds were lovely to view from the windows. Everything is set for enjoying time out doors on the deck and at the fire pit. We would happily stay here again.
Wife and I have stayed here a couple of times and will be back. On the main road but nestled back on a private drive you get the feeling of full privacy. Grounds are nice with a few walking paths. Easy drive almost directly across the street to Cumberland Mountain State Park.
We loved Brooke's little cabin! It was perfectly located across the street from Cumberland Mountain State Park, which was our main draw. And just a few miles from town. Perfect!!
This cabin is very nice and right across the street to Cumberland Mountain State Park. We enjoyed our time here and especially the fire pit in the back yard. We will definitely be back. Thank you Brooke for sharing your cabin with us!
This is a great option if you want to take advantage of Cumberland Mountian State Park (within walking distance if you choose). The house offers everything that you need for a comfortable stay. The only negative is the bathroom, and this would not be an issue if you were with parents and kids, but if you are staying with friends, it makes it awkward not to have a bathroom door close all the way.
This little house was so cozy & absolutely perfect! It was very clean & fixed up to be very modern. TV/wifi worked perfectly; there was even laundry! The deck/back yard were adorable and had a nice are for a fire and a setup for bags. It was also within an hour of all places I wanted to see (waterfalls/swimming holes) and within a half hour of most of them. Location is very quiet & peaceful. Clearly, I can’t say enough about this property; we’d stay here again & again! *Not very close to “bigger” cities, but that’s exactly how we like it!
I LOVED this property!! The house was incredibly clean and had all of the amenities that we needed. Both of the beds were comfortable (I did bring my own pillow but that's just me.) :) The weather was mostly rainy the entire time we stayed but it was incredible to sleep in the cabin with the rain on the tin roof. It's a very very private and quiet location, close enough to town but secluded enough in the woods. We had a blast exploring the grounds and playing cornhole. Brooke has definitely put in a lot of effort into making this a beautiful clean cabin. We will absolutely be coming back!!
Loved the location. Owner was responsive to any questions we had. Private with nice patio to hang out on day or evening. Close to town and other attractions.
This spot was amazing! Right across from state park, on a couple hikes I walked there from the property, super easy. There’s even an Italian restaurant next door for a 30 second walk for dinner. And everything else is only 15 minutes or less drive, including creekside brewery, restaurants downtown and of course Buc-ee’s! You feel secluded but safe, a family of deer walked thru backyard while I was having morning coffee. Loved the natural light via skylight in main room and kitchen. If you are a flipfest parent that wants to stay nearby, this place is only 20 minutes from camp. I was working all week while my daughter was at camp and the wifi was excellent. Zero issues and I’m on video calls all day long. Communication was excellent and everything was exactly as advertised. Such a cute cabin, if I’m ever back in the area I would stay again for sure. A spot!
This was an absolutely beautiful cabin. It's a very secluded and private property. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck watching the wildlife. Not much privacy indoors, but that's ok. We had a slight hiccup on check-in day, (our fault) but owner was quick to respond and resolve the issue. We would definitely stay here again.
Overall I'd rate the cottage a 8/10. Generally cute and comfortable and was clean at the surface level (floors, countertops, bedding), but could definitely use a thorough/deep cleaning for the bathroom, under the beds, in the closets, in the cupboards/drawers, etc... Wifi worked great. Nice kitchen and porch areas, though I didn't get to enjoy the fire pit or grill (or any of the outdoor activities in the area) due to rainy weather during my stay.Host was friendly and responsive.I stayed alone and while the seclusion was peaceful and serene during the day I felt a little anxious at night, primarily because there was no alarm system.Overall, a positive experience and a cute cottage.
This was a great little 2-bedroom cabin. It's far back from the road so you have a nice secluded yard to hang out in. All the basic amenities you might need.
