About this property

You will love to wake up in this newly-decorated rustic-industrial townhome. The moody, lounge-like décor is unique in this Northwoods location. In this ski-in/ski-out unit, you can look out over the deck to the skiers passing by the pines and the gondola. This cozy, but tech-friendly, home-away-from-home has a wood burning fireplace and sleeps 7 people. You get resort amenities with just a quick walk to the hot tub, indoor pool, bars and restaurants! Welcome!!!

Note: Free High-Speed Internet service is available throughout the resort, no access code needed (but you do have to accept the “terms and conditions” to log on). *Being a large resort and so far up north, it is not always a great connection.

This unit is individually owned and operated and is not managed by Caribou Highlands Resort.

The resort wants us to tell you that you do NOT have access to the “Resort-Planned Activities/Events” and the shuttle, but luckily this is a ski-in/ski-out vacation home! If you are an intermediate to advanced skier, you can hit the slopes right behind the Gondola Getaway!! (Otherwise, it’s a 1-minute drive up the road to the base.)

Our local staff is pleased to tend to your housekeeping/maintenance needs and provide you with fresh linens/towels if you need additional. So please do NOT go to the Resort Front Desk. Upon booking you will receive the pertinent contact info for any needs. Thank you!

THE LITTLE THINGS..

The Little Things add up into something bigger.The clocks on the stove and microwave not being set for daylight savings and the clock on the dining room wall 2.5 hours fast.. Little Things..The grill cover scrunched up on the deck floor and the fireplace full of ashes and half burned logs..Little Things..The Ice maker doesn’t work..Little Things..The toilet in the loft bath not cleaned properly and the towel bar in the loft bath busted off the wall..Little Things..The mattress in the loft was old and Zipped up in a mattress bag,not a Little Thing..Bury it already. I’ve never seen a Mattress Bag in a high end rental.The blinds in dining room missing the rod to open and close and one blind in the basement room was tied off so it couldn’t be lifted..Little Things..I’ve Stayed in several different units at the Caribou Lodge, this is the only unit that I’ve stayed in with no DVD players and I couldn’t figure out the cable so I’m not sure if there’s cable TV in this unit? Streaming? 75% of the time the tv was buffering,Not a Little Thing..I know you’re not supposed to be watching tv when you go up the north shore but I like to bend the rules sometimes😁 If I had a guest coming in for a 2k rental I’d try a LITTLE harder to make the stay as comfortable as possible..I’ll be back in lutsen the last week of March and I’ll be renting from the Main lodge. No I could not recommend Good Times Rentals..

Ski trip

We had a great time staying here and skiing at Lutsen. It was convenient and perfectly sized. The WiFi was a little slow to stream shows but that’s kind of nice to get the kids off phones and engaged in games

Great place and location !

Host was very responsive and property was very nice. This rental gets some major use and they do pretty good keeping it clean and running. Location is great with parking and skiing!

Nice stay

Property was a good fit for our family ski vacation. Comfortable accommodations, coffee pods and sauna room in the unit were a hit. Ski in / Ski out was perfect for hitting the slopes.

Growing up in Duluth, the North Shore of MN has always been a special place to me. I've been to 35 plus countries and this is still one of my favorite places. Between Lake Superior, the tall pines, flowing rivers, waterfalls and nature all around, it's an active traveler's dream.
