Whatever your favorite family outdoor adventure, your stay in our cozy 2-bedroom, 2.5-bath townhome located at Caribou Highlands Lodge is your basecamp at the center of everything the North Shore, located very near the trails and activity centers. Did I mention cross country skiing? How about Alpine Slide and the mountain top Gondola? Enjoying the amazing Lake Superior shore (brrr!)? We are slopeside at Lutsen Mountains Ski Area and just minutes from the big blue waters of Lake Superior. Enjoy meals at home with a fully equipped kitchen and bbq grill on the deck. Enjoy the in-unit private Sauna! Community amenities include indoor and outdoor pools, spa, playground, walking trails, Moguls Grille (that patio though!!).

Good ski lodge

Was a good stay. My boys were able to ski right from the lodge. I work in the vacation rental industry, and see a lot of units. Photos are exactly how the unit looked and felt. Our boys had the basement to themselves, and all were comfortable.

Great spot in fantastic location

It is a great spot for skiing, hiking, and biking. Highly recommend it to anyone. Had a fantastic stay!

We are a happily ever after couple who love the North Shore for different reasons. She loves the shopping, the winery, the breathtaking views, the breweries and the fresh air. He loves the trails, the skiing, the rugged bike trails and gravel roads (oh, and all the stuff that she loves too).

Why they chose this property

We are long time North Shore adventurers, exploring in every season. Some of our greatest outdoor memories were forged here on the ski trails (downhill and XC), the off-road bike trails, water falls and just kicking around in Grand Marais. This Lutsen location is so close to (or ON) the finest trails, paths and roadways this area has to offer. There is no better base camp for all your North Shore adventures!

What makes this property unique

We love our cozy townhome for the sights and the sounds that this northwoods location has to offer. The ever present whispering roar of the Poplar River. The chattering Aspens and swaying Jack Pines. The stars on a moonless night will take your breath away. The eery drumming of the Ruffed Grouse. Even the growl of the snow cats working in the dark to make tomorrow's trails perfect is a beautiful sound.
