About this property

Steps to Equinox Hotel and close to Skiing & Summer Equestrian Festival

Winterbrook is a 5,000 sq ft, newly renovated (2023), family home with room for everyone located in the Manchester Village historic district. Our home is set on one of the largest in-town lots in Historic Manchester Village--a short walk to the Equinox pond (.5 mi.) and a delightful, tree-lined stroll on the marble sidewalks to the Equinox Hotel.

While this in-town location can't be beat, the privacy and amenities of the property will wow you. In fact, our home has been selected as the backdrop for the Orivs Dog Catalogue, Spring, 2024. The property offers sweeping meadow views, large continually blooming summer gardens and lawn areas, fire pit, a babbling brook and views of Equinox mountain. The home has many access points to the beautiful grounds. A newly constructed patio, designed and built using huge marble and bluestone slabs sourced from the local quarries, is accessed from the kitchen and the dining room and is a wonderful area to sit and gaze at the meadow and towering birch tree views or to enjoy a family meal. The patio is outfitted with seating for ten, with 2, 50-inch round tables. There is also a Solo stove/fire pit on the patio for those who don't want to venture to the firepit out in the meadow. A small kids' cottage in the back yard is a fun discovery--with porch and twin beds for summer sleeping.

Inside:
Our home offers spacious rooms with lots of natural light. The upstairs offers 3 en suite bedrooms. 2 of these rooms have 2 full-sized beds. These bedrooms are great for couples or for kids who are smaller and can share a full-sized bed. The 3rd en-suite bedroom upstairs has fun built-in beds with trundles and 2, antique cannon ball twin beds. In this bedroom there is also a room-sized closet that we have made into a kids' play area/hang out area. The Master bedroom is on 1st floor and has a spacious en suite bath. The master has a separate sitting area and 2 large closets. Master bedroom windows look out at back lawn, large birch trees and large flower garden. The master bed itself is an heirloom, tiger maple king bed.

All of our linens are high quality and we provide down comforters/duvets for all of the beds in the home as well as ample amount of pillows!

Large, gorgeous eat-in kitchen with a very large island with sink, dishwasher, refrigerator drawers, 2nd oven and drawer microwave. The island seats 2 and the kitchen table seats 6. A beautiful gas fireplace is the focal point of the room. The kitchen was designed with a large family or group in mind and has excellent circulation and accessibility for many to be in it at once. Appliances are Thermador, Bosch and Meile.

A huge mud-room. This is the most-used entrance as it is closest to the garage--and is attached by a covered porch. The mudroom has a separate boot room w/antique pocket doors, large comfortable bench for gearing up or taking off and plenty of room for coats, boots, ski apparel, etc.

There are 2 family rooms on the 1st floor. The 1st is a library-style w/ wet bar and wood burning fireplace. This room has a puzzle table and seats 6-7 comfortably. The 2nd is very large great room w/ a 80” flat screen smart TV, ping pong, foosball. Custom built-ins flank an entire wall, stocked with games, activities, puzzles, etc. There are 2 large and very comfortable couches and large and comfortable chairs.

A home office is located off of the kitchen and can be closed off for privacy. The office has a large, built-in desk, cabinets w/ printer etc. and looks out to the patio, yard and birches and garden.

1st & 2nd Fl. laundry
6 serene acres.
Vermont Summer Equestrian: 7-9 min. Drive.

Skiing: 15 min. to Bromley/25 min. to Stratton. Just .5m from The Hildene; .3m from golf, restaurants & shopping. Walk to Equinox Pond & extensive walking and hiking trailheads.

Security Camera: We have 1 outdoor camera on the front of the house pointing towards the driveway/rubbish bin and 2 in the back of the house, one on the large patio off the kitchen and the other on the patio off the great room. These are for property security purposes. They also allow us to monitor heavy snow fall, maintenance workers, downed trees, and wildlife in the area, etc. Please be aware that there are no cameras anywhere else on the property. We respect your privacy and take it very seriously. Events: please reach out separately @ 978.760.0038

Spring Break Stay
I recently stayed at a Winterbrook property and I must say I had an amazing experience. From the beginning to the end, everything exceeded my expectations. When I arrived, I was very impressed with how clean and comfortable the rental was. It was exactly as described in the listing. The location was perfect.

Dream Weekend!
Suzy’s home provided the perfect location for a fall long weekend. The two floors of living space and the beautiful outdoor grounds provided us with the perfect spot to relax and enjoy time together as a family. The location was ideal for accessing nearby hiking trails and walks into the center of Manchester Village. The spacious kitchen made meal preparations a cinch. The many sitting areas provided ample space for everyone to do their own thing whether it was playing ping pong, foosball, puzzle building, relaxing in front of the fireplace, reading, etc. The outdoor space provided ample room for outdoor activities, and the patio complete with a Solo Stove firepit was the perfect spot to sit and relax. Thanks for sharing your home with us! We are looking forward to returning in the future.
