An entire 3 bedroom 3.5 bath accessible open layout home will be your home during your stay.
The property is surrounded by protected wooded green space with the Taylor Run trail adjacent on the northwest side.

The Owners Club, pools & lake are accessible by hiking or a short 5 minute drive.

Fall Get-Away

Beautiful property with lots of amenities. Having a grill on the screened-in porch was incredible; there were lots of areas to play games and/or relax; and the trail down to the lake was clearly marked and a great walk. The cabin is set in the middle of a stand of trees so feels very private. Would definitely stay here again!

Aspen House is a lovely home. Plenty of room & bathrooms. We had hoped to use the fire pit, but it was too windy during our stay. If we have the opportunity to come again, we would definitely stay there!

Lovely quiet and secluded home

My family and I enjoyed this cozy home so much…it is truly a hidden gem! The house is very clean, the property is beautiful and has many places to just sit and soak up the surrounding beauty. Would absolutely go back again!

House is in a very quiet wooded area . Screened in porch is perfect for coffee and evening relaxing . Home has all you need for a great getaway . Easy ride into Galena . Communication was simple and fast. Highly recommend .

Ladies Weekend

Aspenhouse is comfortably decorated and includes many thoughtful touches to make you feel welcomed. The house is clean, kitchen well equiped for meal preparation. It was very easy to sit back and relax while enjoying bird calls and the sounds of small forest animals.

Great place to stay with our pup!

The house is so comfortable and it is steps from a beautiful hiking trail. We had a fire in the fireplace and cooked on the outdoor grill. There were so many thoughtful extras - a doggie towel for wiping paws, a wonderful coffee and tea set-up, lovely soaps. We did not have any children with us, but there were so many cute extras for kiddos - including a whole set of kid sized dishes and silverware- it was just too cute! I would highly recommend this property!

Amazing getaway

This place is a treasure. My husband, teen age son and our dog stayed at Aspen House for nearly a week and we truly did not want to leave. It was so comfortable, quiet and private yet only 15 minutes from Downtown Galena. Right outside the door were miles of beautiful hiking trails. We enjoyed the firepit and relaxing on the screened porch and as others have said, there are wonderful, comfortable spaces to gather or to be alone. Communication was fantastic. We will be back!

Lovely Holiday Weekend

The Aspen House is well stocked and nestled in a lovely patch of land. My kids really enjoyed the outdoor play equipment and we put the fire pit to good use. It rained for part of our stay and the projector was fun for the kids to watch a movie on. My husband enjoyed that a grill was available and since it was on the screen porch, he was able to use it during the rain. Finally, Hailey is a great communicator and quickly responded to any questions I had. Great property!

Retreat in nature

Aspen house was very clean and inviting. The fireplace was the focus point of our weekend. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed the coffee and tea bars. The cinnamon bread was a special touch! Beds were comfortable and the layout allowed us privacy. Nice safety features with plexiglass along the stairway and a gate to protect the top of the stairs. The musical instruments were neat and the kids bedroom adorable! We loved being able to see the trees through the high windows. The owners were responsive to communication. Overall, it was homey and comfortable, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Great house in the woods

The house was perfect. Just the right size for our family of 4. Everyone had a room and more importantly a bathroom. The host has though of everything, there wasn't anything missing. I never once thought if only they had an xzy in this house. It's all here. It had snowed the day before and the house appeared straight out of a Hallmark special. The house is 10 minutes from town and 20 from the ski resort. Perfect location. We look forward to visiting again.

Great Escape in the Woods!

Lovely home. Spacious, and loaded with things to make your stay homelike and comfy. Beautiful artwork and natural light. Really great Vrbo listing with a property manager who answered my texts within minutes throughout the stay. We loved it here and will likely return.

Wonderful Stay in the Woods

My children and I stayed 4 nights after Christmas in Aspenhouse, and it was a fabulous place to unwind and relax after the holidays. The house was set up beautifully for family time, and we loved the feeling of being outside while still in the house. It was warm enough to take a little advantage of the three porches the house has, and can imagine how terrific it would be in the summer or fall. While there was a separate floor in the basement for gathering, we all wanted to be together and the main floor was perfect for it. The kitchen was well stocked, and there were maps and info to everything we needed, including the trails through Galena Territory. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone wanting to enjoy the woods and each other.

As a parent to small children I have worked to create a family friendly retreat. I look forward to hosting your group and am happy to offer ideas and suggestions for unique activities in and around Galena!

Why they chose this property

This is NOT a townhome with any attached property. The entire house and property will be yours during your stay! It is located on one acre and surrounded by Galena Territories' protected woodland.

What makes this property unique

The aspen trees surrounding the house are restorative and beautiful. The protected green space surrounding the property means you will likely encounter deer, rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks, wild turkey as well up to 70 other birds.

Guests will enjoy 5 complimentary guest passes to access all the amenities at the Galena Territory Association Owners Club. This includes the indoor / outdoor pool as well as game room, gym and fitness center.

Lake Galena is an easy .5 mile walk down the adjacent Taylor Run trail.
No need to drive!
At the Marina you will be able to rent a kayak or canoe and enjoy a picnic on the lake! (picnic back packs included with your stay but rentals’ are at guests’ cost)

The first pet is included in your stay - for a second pet there is a non refundable $50 pet fee. Sorry only 2 dogs max.
