Wonderful Small Hotel

We spent 3 weeks at La Vue and loved everything about the property, staff and the island of Anguilla. The room was a garden apartment with a kitchenette, dining table, sofa and California King bed. Try and reserve one of the rooms with a balcony overlooking the bay/harbor. The owners and staff made us feel more like family than guests. The Chef (Kevin) will brighten your day with his warmth and humor while he expands your waistline with his wonderful creations. Two bits of advice: Rent a car. Walking/bicycling to the closest town/beach is not really an option unless you are uniquely fit. Plus exploring the island and it's 10+ easily accessed beaches is why you come here. Be prepared for occasional loud music and thundering bass from a couple of local bars and some youths with car stereos that you can hear from space. Two must do's: Vaya Restaurant & Bankie Banx Dune Preserve (Stoner Beach Bar).

What you see is not what you get

We stayed at La Vue for a few days and we thought we were renting a room at a condo which it says in the listing. It is actually hotel and you are given a room which may or may not be one of the rooms in the photos. The photos are of different rooms all over the property and are not an accurate representation of your room. The patio photos have been photoshopped to remove the power lines that run down the street and are always in your view from the patio. All that said, the actual hotel is a nice enough place and the bed was comfortable. The staff working at the front desk were friendly and the breakfast we ate there was great. We just wish the listing was more transparent and accurate.

La Vue Boutique Inn

This was our fifth trip to Anguilla and the very first time we have stayed at La Vue. The Inn has a beautiful view over Sandy Ground and the inn was fantastic. They have a terrific pool and provide towels that you can use at the pool and beach. Our room overlooked the ocean and it was spotless. It was very quiet and the air conditioning worked great. The bed was very comfortable, our room had a brand new sofa along with a kitchenette including refrigerator/freezer, table and chairs and everything you would need to cook a meal. We ate at the restaurant on site several times and the food was fantastic. The breakfast omelettes were wonderful. We ate dinner at the restaurant as well and the swordfish was the best I think I’ve ever had. Kevin, the chef is very accommodating to what you might want. Overall we loved it and will definitely stay here again.
