Two families with 6 teens for our fall break enjoyed three days and 2 nights at the house. The house was even more beautiful than the pictures. A family dream house with endless activities for kids and adults. We loved how much there is to do in the area and we saw so much wildlife. It was quiet and beautiful. We didn’t want to leave! We had a great time in the water . The house had plenty of room for everyone to have their own space . I was involved in a car accident the week before the stay so the hill down to the water almost killed me , but overall a great time was had by all

Great Golf Getaway

Group of 12 guys in the area to play some area golf courses. The property was great and suited our needs well. Plenty of room for all 12 of us to spread out, sleep and relax. Lee was great to work with, very responsive and quick to answer all questions about the area, local places to eat and general property inquiries. Would definitely look to stay there again if in the area.

Perfect Lake House Getaway

The Captains Cove was a perfect place to stay for me and my friends! We would golf in the mornings and then come home to take advantage of the perfect location on the lake and the amenities of the home. Can’t recommend this VRBO enough for large groups!

Family Spring Break

We stayed here with three families of four and it was a great fit! Six couples with six kids ages 3-13. They all had fun and even the adults enjoyed the old school arcade games. We made use of the pizza oven as well which was a real treat! Took the owners advice and used the ferry to get to Mammoth Cave, saved time and was a fun experience!

We have experienced living in other places across the country but truly love everything that Kentucky has to offer and hope to share our getaway with you.

We fell in love with this property based on the ability to accommodate a large group of friends and family and the proximity to both Nolin Lake and Kentucky's only National Park .

What makes this property unique

This property has WONDERFUL entertaining spaces! From the open main floor living area that extends to the large deck or the large basement that includes multiple televisions and games for both children and adults that also extends to a large covered porch. The basement bar was hand built using bourbon staves (3 full barrels) and pays homage to the uniqueness of the history of Kentucky Bourbon.
