Le Gîte du Lavoir - ARTIGUES

Located in a charming village in the Upper Aude Valley, the Gite du Lavoir offers an ideal stopover on the route through the Pyrenean mountain passes, just 15 minutes from the majestic castle in the Cathar region of Puilaurens. You’ll find all the shops you need, as well as a swimming pool with a recreational pool and a hot tub, just 5 minutes away in the neighbouring village. Whitewater sports enthusiasts will be delighted by the activities available along the Aude River, with numerous outfitters offering rafting, canoeing, and much more. The area surrounding the village also offers an ideal playground for hiking or mountain biking, with marked trails that will take you along the ridges, where you’ll discover breathtaking panoramic views. Carcassonne is just an hour’s drive away, and the Mediterranean Sea is an hour and a half away, allowing you to explore cultural treasures and unique coastal landscapes. Ski resorts are accessible in just 40 minutes. As for the holiday rental: it offers all the comforts you need for a pleasant stay. On the ground floor, a separate kitchen and a cosy living room with a fireplace insert welcome you. On the ground floor, a bedroom with a double bed (140 cm), a bathroom, and a separate toilet are at your disposal. On the second floor, two bedrooms—one with a double bed (140 cm) and the other with two single beds (90 cm)—await you for peaceful nights. You’ll also have access to a terrace with outdoor furniture, adjacent to the owners’ honey house and backyard. Cleaning is included to ensure a worry-free stay, but sheets and towels are not provided. This is a smoke-free cottage. Pets are not allowed.
