Relaxing and peaceful!!
We were a family of 7 and had a great week at this property. Prior to arrival, John, the property owner reached out several times with tips and details. A storm came through and knocked out power the day before we got there, which caused the pool pump to stop working. John did an excellent job communicating with us and was able to pull some strings to get things back up and running right away for us. Overall, the property was great. It was a bit smaller than we’re used to but we made it work. I think a family of 5 would be perfect. The pool was a bit smaller than it looked on the pictures so we didn’t use it much. The property being right on the lake was great as our boys spent a lot of time fishing off the dock. There are plenty of fish around, although we really only caught bluegill. We really enjoyed the location as it was NOT in a high tourism area. It was slow paced and relaxed. There is plenty around to do. Rainbow Springs is about 10 minutes away and Crystal River about 20 minutes.

Quiet location on the water
Property is well maintained and very functional. The pool was clean and we enjoyed it daily even during Florida’s unseasonably cool temperatures. We fished off the dock and did see a rather large gator in the lake. Property manager responded quickly when we had questions. We are planning a return visit.

Relaxing Stay on Lake Rousseau
We spent 1O days at this lake property for the New Year. Everything was as stated in the description. The property was clean, well cared for and had everything we needed. We rented a boat and fished, hiked, relaxed and enjoyed the non-busy, old Florida atmosphere of Dunnellon. It was cool but sunny every day. We cooked and thoroughly enjoyed the home. Had everything we needed for a relaxing get-away! John, the property owner, was great to work with.
