The Woods on Stemwinder provides a mountain chic experience that caters to all the comforts one expects from a beautiful Stemwinder Drive home. Hot tub, wood-burning fireplace, BBQ, foosball, poker table the list goes on. Kimberley is a golf mecca in the summer months and a winter resort destination; our property is an incredible place for your home base.

Tod, the manager, is a tourism professional operating Simply Kimberley, a boutique vacation rental company. I live and breathe Kimberley tourism. The Woods on Stemwinder is set up for contactless check-in with keyless entry. The door and garage codes are shared prior to your arrival.
In the Southeastern corner of British Columbia, a detour off Highway-95 will take you directly to the heart of downtown Kimberley. We have the Canadian Rockies in our front yard and the Purcell Mountains in our backyard, making us the perfect starting point for both vacation memories and adventure-seeking.
In Kimberley, we’ve got all that you’ve come to expect in a classic British Columbia mountain town, with a few twists.
You’ll find 80+ runs and short lift lines at the Kimberley Alpine Resort. It doesn’t get any better than that!
If you dare, head underground to learn about our town’s 125-year mining history. Stock up on your organic snacks and cold-pressed juices at Stoke Market aka “the gas station”.
With over 160 kilometres of trails within town limits plus seven golf courses within a 30 minute drive, we’re pretty sure there’s something for everyone, from the novice to the expert.
We offer a Schlage keyless entry lock. and door codes are shared prior to your arrival. The entrance is ground level but accessed up two steps to the front deck. The street facing garage is the perfect place to store your golf clubs, bikes or skis.
The Woods has a welcoming open-concept design full of natural light. The hardwood floors really warm the house.
LIVING SPACES
Framed by cathedral windows, the living room is nothing short of spectacular. Imagine your family cuddled up on one of the leather couches in front of a roaring fire as you sip on a mug of spiced cider, surrounded by your friends and loved ones. The laughter ensues and smiles abound.
After dinner, it’s time to venture downstairs to the TV/game room with a wet bar to take advantage of the 65” Smart TV with Netflix and Telus Optik. WiFi streams at nearly 1000 Mbps (Gig). If you’re more in the mood for a friendly competition the foosball table can provide hours of fun and camaraderie. For serious card players, an eight-person poker table awaits. Whatever activity you choose, it will be in breathtaking style at The Woods on Stemwinder.
COOKING & DINING
The modern and fully-equipped kitchen features everything you’ll need whether you’re creating full-course meals, easy lunches, or simple snacks. The breakfast bar provides seating for 4.
Bring back the tradition of the family meal at the adjacent dining table for 10. Take advantage of the opportunity to share stories and plan your further adventures.
SLEEPING ACCOMMODATIONS & BATHROOMS
With five bedrooms and four baths, there’s no doubt everyone in your party will find their own comfortable space to claim. There is eight individual real beds/sleeping surfaces. We are not set up for groups of 12 individual guys, sorry.
On the main level, the main bedroom has a king bed with a dresser and nightstands. The washroom offers dual vanities, a bathtub and a walk-in shower.
The second level has two carpeted guest rooms, each with a queen bed and one twin day bed. These bedrooms share a hall bath with a tub/shower.
The lower level of the home features two guest rooms, one with a double bed and a twin bunk bed and the second with a queen bed plus a twin day bed. These bedrooms share the lower level bath with a tub and walk-in shower.
OUTDOOR AMENITIES
If you close your eyes, it’s easy to picture the warm, soothing bubbles of the hot tub massaging weary muscles. When you manage to emerge, it’s time to enjoy the downstairs natural gas fire while kicking back with some TV.
We provide off-street parking for up to 4 vehicles including the double-car garage.
Our property backs onto a very private forest full of larch trees and pine.
Simply Kimberley operates a fleet of five charter vehicles and we're happy to provide airport transfers, dinner shuttles and golf group movements. We've become well-known as Kimberley's finest tour operator specializing in packaging with our company-owned and managed vacation rentals.
The Woods is a pet-friendly with the signing of our Pet Policy and our $25/night/pet surcharge. Please contact us if you'd like to bring your dog. Unfortunately, we are not wheelchair-friendly.
Our home is NOT a “party home”. Quiet hours of 10PM - 7AM is well signed and must be respected, as we have full-time residential neighbours next door. If you're looking to party, please do not book with us. The Woods is amazing for families, couples and groups of 8 golfers but it is NOT permissible to book groups of 12 guys here, please. We have other options in our portfolio - please just contact us.
As per City of Kimberley Good Neighbor Bylaw No. 2671, noise from the outside Hot tub and Deck areas must not affect the surrounding property owners' ability to enjoy their space. This applies 24/7 during your stay. Bylaw also states that QUIET TIMES are between 10 pm to 7 am. All outside noise must be brought inside the house during these hours. You will see our Quiet Time reminders
DECIBEL MONITORING SYSTEM FOR OUTDOOR AREAS:
The outside patio and deck areas of this property are equipped with the Minut decibel monitoring system. These systems are increasingly common in short term rental properties. The system monitors sound levels and occupancy while protecting guests' stay and privacy. This system does NOT record sound or conversation. Guests will be notified remotely if sound levels exceed reasonable sound thresholds and threshold levels are lowered during Quiet Time hours.
Simply Kimberley does operate three other vacation rental properties within a short stroll and our target market is groups and families.
